The Ruling Class Hates You

I thought love trumps hate. That’s what I’ve been led to believe by an effusion of t-shirts, bumper stickers, and social media postings from the self-styled anti-Trump Resistance™. As my friend Roger Kimball likes to say, there really is nothing like the intoxication of moral superiority.

The syrupy slogans promulgated by the ruling class, ruling class wannabes, and fellow travelers on the Left aren’t fooling anyone, not even, I would guess, the people who say, wear, and post them. Truth is, they really don’t like the rest of us. No problem, we have our own lives and families. But it’s only not a problem until such disdain is combined with a sense of political entitlement and the coercive power of government.

Which brings us to the political and cultural union of the Democratic Party and the permanent political class called the deep state, that forms the unelected, unaccountable fourth branch of government that wields so much power up to and including the police power of the FBI.

In private texts recently made public, FBI “super-agent” Peter Strzok and his mistress, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, were quite candid. Their open disdain for a wide variety for groups including Italians, Russians, Romanians, gypsies, Virginians, Texans, and pro-lifers should surprise no one. The leaders of their party have been saying the same thing in public for years.

Here is one telling exchange between the star-crossed lovers:

“Guccifer. Sleazy Romanian…,” Strzok wrote.

“They ALL are,” Page responded.

“Funny to watch and think of [redacted]. No wonder he’s a brusque as he is…and those Romanians aren’t even the gypsies…” Strzok shot back.

“Seriously, I kind of hate them. (I’m sure [redacted] fine). But they have the crookedness of the Russians with the entitledness of the Italians. Yuck,” Page answered.

In a separate exchange, Page goes after Russians—all of them—again: “…hate them. l think they’re probably the worst. Very little I find redeeming about this. Even in history. Couple of good writers and artists I guess.”

“Probably the worst?” Even worse than those entitled Italians and sleazy Romanians? I guess that means no Tchaikovsky or Rimsky-Korsakov on her playlist.

But it’s not just foreigners. It turns out, they’re not terribly fond of Americans either. Virginians and Texans come in for particular scorn because, well, you know, it’s always open season on rural America and the South. Virginia and Texas must seem like a twofer.

When Jill McCabe (D-Va.), wife of former Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe, lost a race for the Virginia state senate after taking nearly $700,000 from the Clintons and their allies, Strzok let loose on his neighbors and countrymen.“Disappointing, but look at the district map,” he texted.“Loudoun is being gentrified, but it’s still largely ignorant hillbillys (sic). Good for her for running, but curious if she’s energized or never again.”

I’d guess that the “ignorant” voters of Loudoun County probably realize that the slur he was reaching for is spelled “hillbillies” and not “hillbillys.” Strzok can remember it in the future because it’s the same construction used in other words, like “adulteries” and “felonies.”

He had a few words for the Lone Star State too. “And while i (sic) hate Trump, part of me thought (redacted) would not/may not get into (redacted) because they’re white and not from buttf*ck Texas…”

How about the hundreds of thousands of people from all parts of the country and all walks of life attending the annual March for Life? Page isn’t a fan of them either: “I truly hate these people. No support for the woman who actually has to spend the rest of her life rearing this child, but we are about ‘life.’ Assholes.”

In Page’s world, “life” comes with scare quotes and consists of adultery with a co-worker, leaking classified information to the press, using federal police power to rig presidential elections, and spewing venom at virtually everyone outside of her social and professional circle. What a life.

Maybe Page and Strzok are outliers. Maybe they were just venting private frustrations with a lover. Maybe. But the public statements of the leaders of their own party, the people they admire, who Page called the “very impressive” (the Obamas) and the woman who deserves to win “100,000,000-0” (Clinton) are even worse.

The Strzoks and Pages, the Clintons and Obamas have all made it abundantly clear that they don’t like the America they see around them. They don’t like where it came from or the people who live here. The ruling class makes no secret of it: they hate you.

In 2008, Barack Obama derided people from rural America: “You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Hillary Clinton’s campaign chief, John Podesta was part of a thread of anti-Catholic emails with activist Sanford Newman: “There needs to be a Catholic Spring, in which Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship and the beginning of a little democracy and respect for gender equality in the Catholic church.”

And, of course, there was Hillary’s open contempt for the Deplorables.

“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?” Clinton said. “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. And unfortunately, there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”

If that’s not enough, compare the slogans of the Left to their candid public and private statements.

The Rhetoric

Love trumps hate.
Hope and change.
“Hate is not a family value.”

The Reality

“Buttf*** Texas”
Bitter clingers

The sense of entitlement and open disdain of this country’s counterfeit elites is dangerous. Early in the Obama Administration, it led to weaponizing the IRS against political rivals. That manifest wrong was never punished and it emboldened ruling class Democrats in the FBI to lie to the FISA court so they could spy on the Trump campaign for the benefit of Hillary Clinton.

The unfolding political corruption is just the public manifestation of a deeper social and political crisis that strikes at the heart of our ability to maintain a system of constitutional self-government. George Washington addressed his countrymen as “friends and citizens” in his Farewell Address. The ruling class doesn’t want that. They don’t want citizens, much less friends. They want subjects.

Of course they hate us. the language they use is just for manipulation and control. You are a racist! You are a homophobe or transphobe or something! You hate the dreamers and foreigners. But of course, you must foot the bill, be compliant sheep as we destroy your lives. You are solyant green, that’s all. Your beliefs, feelings, way of life, fruits of your earnings are irrelevant. They hate and will not stop hating no matter what. They hate this country, they hate life, and they hate us. There is already war. they just got caught this time. Let’s see if it sticks, and if the USA actually exists other than in the figment of our collective imaginations.

Why Jenna, that’s small potatoes. Some imaginary tech company (pick a name) is paying me $27,000 a minute just to trim my toenails and grow a beard and play monopoly with the kids. Rush $10 to my P.O. Box for more details. (Sarc).

P.S. How’s that viral infection you got at work? I hear the itch is worse than Shingles.

You have confused the opposition with the ruling class!

      • chris_zzz February 11, 2018 at 9:05 am

Really? “The Jews”? Don’t be ignorant. Religion has nothing to do with what’s happening in this country. Israel is one of our closest allies, but it is under attack from progressives who prefer Palestinians because they are “brown and less privileged.” Jewish men in America are now seen as white males and are subject to the same negative identity politics as others. It is only a matter of time before they abandon the Dem party that hates them (but loves their money).

        • Marshall Gill February 12, 2018 at 5:06 am

When losers need someone to blame for their pathetic absolute failure in life it is quite common to attempt to find a collective scapegoat. Pity Don. Hating Jews won’t make him a man, or successful but it is really all that his tiny mind can contemplate.

          • Robert Browning February 12, 2018 at 6:50 am

What are you doing here hating on and antagonizing against white Christians?? You were given your own lands to put an end to your hatred of us. So WTF are you doing here now?? Can you please tell us you hate filled Jew??

          • Kevin Blankinship February 12, 2018 at 5:36 pm

I’m white and Christian. I see no threat from Jews, period.

          • Robert Browning February 12, 2018 at 5:55 pm

Do you know why the Jews killed Christ? Jews had and still have certain expectation of their messiah. The Jews expect their messiah to enslave their enemies, enslave the non-Jews. Christ preached forgiveness of ones enemies and peace making. This was blasphemy to the Jews so they killed him. Christ died because he refused to make you and every other non-Jew a slave to the Jews. And to this very day, every last Jew on earth hates him for it. And you defend his killers, Mr white Christian?? Why?? Because you want to be a slave to the Jews??

          • Kevin Blankinship February 12, 2018 at 9:22 pm

Pope Paul VI said that the Jews as a people owe no responsibility for the death of Christ.

Your kind of talk is reminiscent of some eastern Europeans.

          • Robert Browning February 13, 2018 at 12:51 am

You are a white Christian, you said you are a white Christian?? You sound like a Jew but on defense.

          • Kevin Blankinship February 13, 2018 at 6:06 am

78 years ago, there was a big event called World War II. Hundreds of thousands of American soldiers perished to fight and defeat Nazism. After the way, we systematically destroyed every Nazi monument that we could find, and hunted down any war criminals to prosecute. Every effort was made to eradicate this cancer.

And yet nowadays, guys like you pop up to spew the same kind of trash.

          • Robert Browning February 13, 2018 at 6:17 am

Why did you kill him Jew?? Why did you kill Christ?? And why won’t you apologize for the cold blooded murder of an innocent man?? Are you human?? And after you have been given your own country to put an end to your hatred of us what are you doing here fomenting a race war against us now?? WTF is wrong with you??

          • Marshall Gill February 13, 2018 at 6:28 am

WOW. Sad. Show us on the doll where the Jew touched you.

          • Robert Browning February 13, 2018 at 6:39 am

            Are you human?

          • Peer Gynt February 13, 2018 at 9:21 am

Are you sure you want to go down that path. How many of the sex abusers recently exposed were Jewish. Well above 80% or so.

          • Marshall Gill February 15, 2018 at 5:38 am

Not 100%?! You are slipping in blaming all of humanity’s (and your own) faults on a collective group!

Collectivism rules, right? You and Stalin like peas in a pod? You are not an individual but a member of your collective? I have literally taken dumps with higher intellects than you posses.

          • Peer Gynt February 13, 2018 at 9:00 am

Yup, we got Communism instead, which was Jewish-led and orchestrated, with Jews making up close to 85% of the Bolshevik party during the revolution. They ran the Gulag and Cheka too.

This same group run our media today and have used it cover it up their horrific crimes behind the iron curtain while endlessly parroting the alleged “6 million”.

Despite the efforts of hasbara jews like you, the world is waking up to Jewish crimes.

          • Marshall Gill February 13, 2018 at 5:22 am

LMAO It does not require one to be a Jew to recognize your pathetic nature in blaming others for your current being a loser. I am neither Christian nor Jew. I do hate people like yourself who blame Jews for you being pitiful. It isn’t the Jews fault that you are pathetic but your own. Blame your parents for raising a total pussy, don’t blame Jews.

          • Robert Browning February 13, 2018 at 6:19 am

Pull the feather out of your rectum, Jew.

          • Marshall Gill February 13, 2018 at 6:27 am

            So weak.

          • Robert Browning February 13, 2018 at 7:06 am

Why did you stop laughing, clown?

        • Robert Browning February 12, 2018 at 6:47 am

The target is white Christians and Jews are the aggressors. Not one single solitary Jew has ever apologized for the cold blooded murder of the innocent Christ. Not one, not once, not ever in 2,000 years. The Jew messiah can not enter this world until Christ, Christians and Christianity are dead and destroyed. The Jew plan for the destruction of Christendom is to wage a race against whites, force whites into a violent combat then use guilt to turn whites away from Christ. Only then will the world be prepared for the Jew messiah, Moshiach, the anti-Christ.

          • Kevin Blankinship February 12, 2018 at 5:35 pm

I’m going to order me a can of BS repellent.

          • Marshall Gill February 13, 2018 at 5:23 am

You pathetic retard, the Romans killed Jesus. I often tell my children that there are no more Nazis as they have been revealed as being the most pathetic sub humans on the planet. You appear to contradict that belief. Truly, abjectly pathetic.

Your name is probably Mohammad or Ali? Only the vile Mohammadean hates the Jews as much and are as pitiful as modern Nazis.

          • Robert Browning February 13, 2018 at 6:19 am

Why did the Romans murder an innocent man Jew?? Pilate said Christ was innocent.

            Pilate Washes his Hands
When Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but that instead a riot was breaking out, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “You shall bear the responsibility.” All the people answered, “His blood be on us and on our children!” So Pilate released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged and handed Him over to be crucified.…

          • Marshall Gill February 13, 2018 at 6:37 am

How does belief in the divinity of Christ lead you to hatred of Jews? You quote the Bible and then ignore the parts about forgiveness and loving thy neighbor?! My parents forced me to study that ancient book until the time I left home. I have read every word in the KJV. Nowhere is there support for retaliation or hatred against Jews MUST LESS 2000 YEARS LATER.

Which means that you are not making these arguments as a Christian but simply as someone who got the shit beat out of him by a little Jewish girl. Got your ass kicked by a 7 year old when you were 25 and they were Jewish so you hate Jews.

You must love the worshipers of the illiterate pedophile priest Mohammad. They hate Jews too. You probably dream of murdering women and children like they do.

          • Robert Browning February 13, 2018 at 6:46 am

You want to play with me Jew?? The Jew religion had and still has certain expectations of their messiah. The Jews believe and still believe their messiah will enslave their enemies, enslave the non-Jew. Being a Jew you know this already. Christ taught forgiveness of ones enemies and peace making. This was blasphemy to the Jews so you Jews killed him. Christ died because he refused to enslave humankind for the Jews and for no other reason and you Jews hate him to this very day for it and you Jews are waging a race war against all of white Christians out of your hatred of Christ. You are sick.

        • LinkSpamHater February 12, 2018 at 1:20 pm

Nice try. Jews run the left: they run the Marxist media; they’re the biggest donors to the open border Dems. They control the SPLC, ADL, ACLU and the ADL which is the top promoter of pluralism in the US.

Jews didn’t object as the Left destroyed America. They only objected as the Left became anti-Israel. Although, truly speaking, Dems are still pro-Israel: they don’t oppose billions in aid or neocon wars. It’s the grassroots support that’s in decline due to Israel’s policies toward Palestinians, That’s why jews are now trying to co-opt the Right.

As for “religion”, ever heard of “atheist Jews”? Being Jewish is more than “religion”. There’s even a DNA test for immigration to Israel. Besides Ashkenazim typically have 20-30% European admixture, are “White” due to being mostly Asiatic infused with some Mongolian and there are about 200 genetic diseases unique to Jews.

      • Richard_Reed February 11, 2018 at 10:03 am

It is wrong and very counterproductive to shift the conversation to “a cabal of Jews.”

I see Jews as strong potential allies in our effort to save liberty, and the Republic from those who think ‘soft coups’ and not elections are the way to get rid of duly elected leaders they don’t like.

        • joseph pujol February 11, 2018 at 11:19 am

        • LinkSpamHater February 12, 2018 at 1:38 pm

In a Democracy those who control the mass media control the public mind. They fear the public taking matters into their own hands.

          So who controls the media:

That might be why Jews don’t want us to take matters into our own hands.

          • Kevin Blankinship February 12, 2018 at 5:34 pm

I’ve known a lot of Jews over my life. None of them struck me as conspiratorial. Just the most ordinary people. The thing that actually characterizes them: their parents bust their chops to achieve, they tend to be extroverted, and thousands of years of a merchant history have made them natural entrepreneurs. Good Republican material, actually.

          • Peer Gynt February 12, 2018 at 6:44 pm

            Good Republican material actually

Is that why the vast majority are Marxist:

          • Kevin Blankinship February 12, 2018 at 9:28 pm

Uh, I don’t know if there are any Marxists left in the US. I haven’t seen any since the 1970s.

          • Marshall Gill February 13, 2018 at 5:27 am

Oh, they call themselves “progressives” now.

          • Kevin Blankinship February 13, 2018 at 6:03 am

I don’t see a whif of Marxism in Democrats these days.

          • Marshall Gill February 13, 2018 at 6:24 am

Then you are either defining Marxism very narrowly or you are not looking.

I often read how there are no Marxists, socialists, or communists in the US because no politician, AT THIS TIME, advocates complete ownership of all production and the elimination of private property.

So, not Marxist just transferring trillions every year via government. Bernie Sanders even let slip how he thinks that the government should regulate the number of brands of deodorant. One of the justices on SCOTUS even opined how the government could make people eat broccoli. The government recently owned a majority share of GM. Which definitely defines “means of production”.

Parsing the exact political term for the Democrats is an attempt to ignore the tyranny of bureaucrats, nothing less. It is an attempt at obfuscation not enlightenment.

          • Marshall Gill February 13, 2018 at 5:26 am

I don’t think Robert Reich of Berkeley, depicted in the photo, owns any media stock. His occupation is professor of Political Economy at Berkeley. Jim Cramer works for right-wing media outlets. The Wall Street Journal is owned by Rupert Murdoch (not exactly Jewish), So is FOX News. Ben Stein is also a right-winger.

You’re not exactly well-informed, are you?

          • Peer Gynt February 13, 2018 at 9:14 am

Rupert Murdoch’s mother is an Orthodox Jew and he’s an ultra-Zionist.

I am not a Jew but I think that theories are an inaccurate term, the hatred goes back to the enslavement of the Jews by the Egyptians and never quite stopped.

          • Kala February 13, 2018 at 11:38 am

You may be right, I was talking about them being depicted as money lenders and that wasn’t the case when they were slaves in Egypt.

          • Tony Cavallo February 13, 2018 at 1:05 pm

I think that history will support my understanding that Jews became the scapegoat for non Jews who wanted what they perceived to be wealth and well being, but did not have the drive to get such things, while the Jews who for centuries were driven out of so many places where they tried to settle, learned to hit the ground running just for the sake of survival. They would arrive in a new place, set up their tents, sell their talents to make things, or set up a business that sold staples for the people around Flour Live stock, whatever would help them to survive. As they prospered they were marked as crooks or interlopers, by those who lacked the drive and the work ethic.

Absolute nonsense… There’s not a nickel’s worth of difference between the left and right in the ruling classes. They are entirely interested in furthering their own and their cronies’ wealth accumulation and they have never cared about the middle or lower classes. The open distain is a new feature, but their superciliousness and machinations behind closed doors have been going on throughout the dynasty presidencies and came to full flower under Obama.

Strange that Buskirk picked Washington as an example of republican harmony.

Washington loathed the 40 shilling freeholders he had to lead. For God’s sake, the man wouldn’t give his best field commander, Daniel Morgan, a command above a regiment of Virginia milita because Morgan was too much of a backwoods pleb for his taste.

Washington likely thought Morgan would offend the eurotrash and office seekers hanging around his headquarters.

  3. BCML February 10, 2018 at 4:28 pm

Buskirk is off base. It is not hate. He confuses hate with scorn and disdain. I scorn and disdain anyone who supports Trump. Guilty. Anyone who can support our barbarian President gets my scorn.

    • countryboy1947 February 10, 2018 at 6:19 pm

Well I despise the arrogant lefties who cannot accept the results of an election that they lost, hate the winner….and all of us who support him and wish him well.

Scorn is NOT enough for you people. This college educated “deplorable” would spit on all of you if he could!

      • BCML February 11, 2018 at 7:55 am

I didn’t like her much either. But at least she is not insane and has evolved beyond the caveman stage. Trump is a vulgar loose hinged Neanderthal. No offense to the Neanderthals.

      • BCML February 11, 2018 at 8:27 am

Second point; why are Trump supporters so amused by cute name calling: KIllary, Felonia etc etc etc. You are like a bunch of puerile frat boys making up names for the girls in class. BUT, that is what you guys are: misogynists focussed on trivia – you ignore what the candidate DO and play giggles about why they look like. Trump is the most brutal and abusive cretin to come anywhere near the White House. Are you affected by his groping, vulgarity, international ass-clowning, nuclear saber rattling? The fact is, Hillary was right: you are just a bunch of 55+, deplorable, under-educated, angry, low-functioning, misogynist, bigoted, gullible, left-behind, white, male, slobs. With a few other misfits thrown in. Trump convinced America’s losers that it not their fault: its the Chinese, and NAFTA, and Mexican illegals. You bought a load of BS from a consummate Con Man. Full effing stop. So if you are so amused by funny names, how about: “Groper von Oragutang rug de Bone Spurs. Really, ask yourself: how did Trump manage to grope 2 dozen women despite his painful bone spurs?

    • Brian Bacon February 11, 2018 at 7:40 am

Of course you scorn and disdain. That’s what Hillary and Barack do all day long. Deplorable: racist, bigot, homophobe, islamophobe, xenophobe, sexist, blah blah blah. In other words haters in a big way. Spitting on those unwashed gun toting Americans who cling to their religion. Feel the hate yet friend? Maybe you should put yourself for a minute in the shoes of a West Virginia coal miner’s wife or a truckdriver from Maysville Kentucky. The elites relies on casuistry and parsing of words when it suits them. They need a good slap down from the American people. President Trump is doing his job.

      • BCML February 11, 2018 at 8:04 am

Words matter, little fella, and Trump has the best words. But lets agree, there is no doubt that he is a vulgar, misogynist, semi-coherent, bigoted, Islamophobic slob. He is not doing anyone’s slap down. Don the Con is lining his own pockets, while in office, and has never represented anyone’s interests but his own. If he is the common mans agent, they sure chose a slick BS artist who won’t help them. He has degraded this country by half. And sewn internal strife that may never heal.

  5. Derek Pandamonium February 11, 2018 at 4:22 am

Your article is right on, but why do you ignore the #neverTrump in the GOPe? Bill Kristol, Bret Stephens, George Will, Kevin Williamson, and many other GOPe pundits. They have nothing but disdain and contempt for the working and middle classes who voted for Trump. Williamson wants small towns to die. Kristol and Stephens want to replace the white working class with illegals. The GOPe were outraged when we selected Trump to be our repub nominee. They doubled down and supported a lying, murdering criminal and her serial rapist husband. Today they continue to Delay, Obstruct, and Sabotage Trump and his America first agenda. There were ten GOPe Senators that publicly opposed Trump in the general. Another dozen opposed him privately. And what has the Senate done? They block Trump’s agenda while carrying out the global plutocracy’s orders. They refuse to keep any of their promises, like repeal and replace obamacare. They resented the tax break Trump gave the working and middle classes so they decided to punish us with more debt. They’re looking to enfranchise millions of illegals while refusing to fund the Wall, eliminate chain migration, lottery, or anchor babies. They have refused to confirm Trump’s appointees and slow walk his Article III Judges. obama averaged 41 per year and the best the Senate can do is 24 for Trump.
The dems will always be dems, but the GOPe’s actions are unprecedented.

    • Historybuff February 11, 2018 at 7:41 am

So… you like being treated as a 2nd class tax payer… you like lies… you like immorality… you like fake braggadocio claims…

Why don’t you stop the ad hominen attack and refute what DP has written – oh, that’s right, you can’t because what he’s written is correct – I guess you consider yourself part of this same pack of disdainful elites?

        • BCML February 11, 2018 at 9:46 am

That was nit an ad hominem. Do you know what that means?

          • Derek Pandamonium February 11, 2018 at 12:17 pm

What’s your definition of “ad hominem”? HistoryBuff’s attack on Trump certainly fits the bill.

          • BCML February 11, 2018 at 12:23 pm

Trump is not a “hominem”. He is a Neanderthal. I read your post. No one needs to demonize Trump. He just needs to speak and his vulgar unhinged dangerous nature is evident. If you support him, I declare you”stupid”. He is – prima facie – the most boorish and disgusting leader on the world stage. He is, in effect, a pig. How is that for ad Neanderthalensis?

          • Derek Pandamonium February 11, 2018 at 4:10 pm

You’re funny. I get a kick out of illiterates who have never accomplished anything pass judgement on our President. As I said before, put on your big boy pants. When idiots like you thought your lying, murdering criminal and her serial rapist husband was going to get elected, you ran around saying “love Trumps hate”. After you got your a$$ kicked it’s we “love to hate Trump”.

          • BCML February 11, 2018 at 6:44 pm

Derek you dope. We did not get our asses kicked, Trump lost the popular vote by over 3 million votes. There were just enough bonehead Neanderthals in America to give him a fluke electoral college win. But don’t worry, once Mueller makes is report, Trump will be back in Queens looking for wife #4.

          • Derek Pandamonium February 11, 2018 at 9:34 pm

I can’t believe you’re as stupid as you make yourself appear. News flash: We don’t elect Presidents based on popular vote. If we did Trump would have campaigned differently. Your slimy candidates whined about this in 2000. They had sixteen years to legally do something about it. There’s a reason the founding Fathers used the Electoral College rather than the popular vote. The 2016 election proved, once again, they were right. Try to keep up. Hillary won by 2.9 million votes. She won California by 4.3 million votes. That means Trump beat her in 49 states and D.C. by 1.4 million votes.
Why would America want to be governed by one of the most irresponsible and far left state in America?
You also show how ignorant you are by disparaging Neanderthals. Back in their day, you wouldn’t have lasted a week.
Again, thinking Mueller is going to make a report is laughable. After huma’s laptop was made public, with 600K emails on it, Criminal Comey cleared hillary and huma in two weeks. After eighteen months, Mueller has nothing and as more facts come out, it is clear that he, Comey, Rosenstein, McCabe, and others we’re involved in an attempted coup. Heads will roll and people will go to jail but it won’t be Trump or any of his people. Flynn is already calling for his conviction to be overturned and it looks likely to happen.
Anti-Trumpians soil themselves because their hate for Trump is so transparent. You’re like some dung beetle under a rock compared to a Colossus, like Trump.

          • Marshall Gill February 12, 2018 at 5:13 am

Yes, it IS as stupid as it appears.

          • BCML February 12, 2018 at 7:52 am

ZZZZZ. Nodded off. You’re deluded, Trump is going to get sliced up like a radish. Mueller is going to blow him away. If he stays out of the slammer he will end up back in Queens groping women, bankrupting companies, scamming partners, and swindling partners, and looking for wife #4.

It seems the most uninformed are the most smug. Making up a false narrative is easy work. Why not try and back up your claims? You should be embarrassed to style yourself a “Historybuff”.
You’re obviously a “pajama boy”, if you’re offended by braggadocio. Get some depends and put on your big boy pants. Did you support the effete anti-American obama? Perhaps the GOPe losers, McCain, Romney, Jeb, Rubio, and Kasich. They rolled over and played dead rather than stand up to the tyranny of the PC.

The anti-Trumpians like to misrepresent what Trump says by pretending it’s literal.

Trump can’t build the Wall it if the unibrow party refuses to fund it. But if they do, Mexico will pay for it.
        Let me count the ways

We have a $63 billion trade deficit with Mexico. Renegotiating NAFTA will reduce that.

Illegal and legal Mexicans send $50 billion in remittances to Mexico, every year. That their number one component to their GDP, surpassing their oil revenue. Taxing that would generate another billion, at least.

Seventy percent of illegals receive some sort of taxpayer funded support. Deporting them will recover more billions. In the past, legal and illegal immigrants were expected to work and contribute to our Country. Heads of household would come here establish themselves and then bring the rest of their family over. When President Reagan bestowed amnesty on three million illegals, they didn’t go on welfare. Today, we do it bassackwards. We allow unaccompanied illegal children to come over, establish themselves on welfare, and then let chain migration work its magic and further burden our taxpayers. If you were an actual history buff, you would know this.

Deporting illegals will put many of the 95 million Americans who are out of the job market back to work. That means less welfare costs and more tax revenue. More revenue to build the Wall.

It’s not that you didn’t understand what our President was saying, but you hate Trump more than you love our Country and so go out of your way to misrepresent what he says. Today Trump has a higher favorability rating than obama did in the same time frame. That’s with obama getting 90% positive press while Trump gets 90% negative. The American people like what Trump is saying and doing, especially on fixing our broken immigration program.

        • Phredd February 12, 2018 at 1:42 pm

I’m on board with most of what you are saying, but I have a few quibbles about immigration. I married my wife in mainland China in 2007. A spouse of a citizen is in the “immediate” category, so it took only a year for me to get her to the U.S. as a Lawful Permanent Resident. She spoke almost no English, but she was intent on becoming and AMERICAN, so she studied her tail off and in 2011 was eligible for and passed the test to become a naturalized citizen. We have since gotten her adult daughter here with us as an LPR. The point is I have been through this immigration thing a few times.

First you should note that most LAWFUL immigrants are, shall we say, less than enthused about illegals. Also, my wife and daughter are proud of their Chinese cultural heritage (we put up lanterns for Chinese New Year and the Moon Festival), but they don’t parade around with Chinese flags; they are happy and GRATEFUL to be here.

Chain migration should be changed, and definitely more emphasis should be put on merit-based immigration. Both already exist in the system, and the balance between the two should be shifted, but “chain migration” is not quite the same as what is popularly perceived. Look up “Visa Bulletin” on the Internet. First, you will note that each “preference category” has a statutory limit on the total number of immigrant visas each year. Next, note that except for one special case, one must be a citizen to sponsor an immigrant, and it takes a new immigrant at least five years to become a citizen (three years if the spouse of a citizen). Now note the waiting list (before the case is even processed) times in the table. The last time I looked, the waiting time for sponsoring a sibling was 14 years, unless of course the sibling is from China, India, Mexico, or the Philippines. For the Philippines it’s 24 years. Finally, when you sponsor an immigrant, you have to sign and file an “Affidavit of Support” to prove you can support the immigrant. If that immigrant goes on welfare, YOU are on the hook to repay the government.

So, I would not completely eliminate “family” immigration, but I would make certain changes. It is one thing to bring in parents, siblings, and their offspring. It is quite another thing to allow those parents to later petition for THEIR siblings, and so on. I would eliminate that. (Of course my perspective is affected by the fact that the total number that would allow is not very large when the immigrants are from China. Due to the “one child policy”, the immediate Chinese family is not large.) I would also, as mentioned above, reduce the statutory number of immigrant visas in the family preference categories and move to a system where the majority of visas are in the skilled immigrant category. The diversity lottery definitely needs to go.

Of course, I’m just a dope who did everything according to the law. A big problem is the “exceptions” and “emergencies”, courtesy of certain political figures.

          • Derek Pandamonium February 12, 2018 at 4:03 pm

You did things the right way, like we use to do. In earlier times, it was the bread winner who came to America and established himself before trying to get his family over. Once here he provided for them.
Just as you did with your Wife. The American taxpayers weren’t expected to do the providing. And your Wife wanting to acclimate and believing in the American Dream is no longer the norm.

Some tend to forget that in former times, we decided who should come and it was to make our Country better. Today many believe everyone has a right to be here and that virtual signalling is our primary goal.

          • Phredd February 12, 2018 at 7:22 pm

Thanks, pal. I appreciate your kind comments. My grandmother was born in Minneapolis, but her parents were immigrants. They were Slovak, and they later lived in the McKinley Hill area of Tacoma, WA . My grandmother told me that when she was young, McKinley Hill seemed to be half Slovak and half Swedish. Whenever one or the other had a wedding or other celebration, they invited their friends from the other group. The Swedes and the Slovaks each had their own cultural heritage, but shared it with the other, probably because of their shared identity as Americans. That’s the kind of view I still have, and I think it’s generally the view of the immigrants that have the patience and determination to jump through all the hoops to come here legally.

“Do you still believe that Mexico is going to pay for trump’s wall?”

Of course not. But then again, we’re also clever enough to recognize good natured exaggeration and puffing when we see it.

In fact, everybody seems to understand the game except the Libprogs. Why are you so literal and unimaginative? Where’s your sense of humor?

but why do you ignore the #neverTrump in the GOPe? Bill Kristol, Bret Stephens, George Will, Kevin Williamson, and many other GOPe pundits.

      Because everybody else does???

      • Derek Pandamonium February 11, 2018 at 12:14 pm

You’re wrong to think so. First they validate the false anti-Trump narrative by going on CNN, MSNBC, NPR, NBC, ABC, CBS, etc, etc. They represent the leadership in the GOPe. The Bushes, Romney, McCain, McMullin, and the rest of the Rogue’s gallery, all who oppose Trump and his America first agenda. They vilify and demonize Trump to justify the #neverTrump’s behavior. Trump has made amazing progress but he’s had to do all the heavy lifting. If the GOPe had supported him, instead of hillary, America would be soaring and repubs would be guaranteed winning in 2018 and 2020. As it is, the outcome remains in doubt.

  6. Martin Sattler February 11, 2018 at 5:17 am

As odious as these voices are, particularly those of the NeverTrumpers and the leftist politicians like Obama and Clinton, they would be squeaky inconsequential voices, like the neo-nazis, were it not for the complicit media.

  9. Brian Bacon February 11, 2018 at 7:28 am

Mr. Buskirk–thanks for a masterful articulation of a woeful reality that is unraveling the fabric of our nation. We need a special prosecutor now who is dedicated to rooting out systemic corruption at the highest levels. Such a prosecutor must come from the heartland and not DC must have a track record of fearlessness and a tenacious pursuit of justice. We need a constitutional convention to restore power to the American people. This is not the EU with unaccountable bureaucrats. This is America. Long ago we rejected European aristocracy and elitism. God bless America.

    • Historybuff February 11, 2018 at 7:40 am

You like being an inferior class… the ‘American Middle Class’?

      • Brian Bacon February 11, 2018 at 7:43 am

Nobody enjoys poverty as nobody enjoys the destruction of the middle class by the elites. The elites are facilitating a 2 class system as exists in Venezuela or the old Soviet Union: the haves and the have nots who serve the haves. That is not the American constitutional model.

        • Historybuff February 11, 2018 at 7:46 am

The ‘elites’ are trump… who supports twice the tax cut rates for the wealthy. Indeed, look at trump’s entire life… where it is clear that HE is superior to all others… from the 3500 vendors that he stiffed for money owed them… to investors that he cheated while himself making millions from his ‘trump casino’ bankruptcy.

          • Brian Bacon February 11, 2018 at 7:54 am

The elites are the RINO-cRAT-Media establishment with its incestuous relationship with the unelected 4th branch of the government which we are finding is mired in corruption very likely traceable directly to Obama and Clinton and McCain. Trump is a billionaire; however he is not of the elite. He speaks directly and minus political correctness exactly like the American people. By contrast the elite speaks in PC, lofty , holier than thou tones designed to stifle debate and consolidate their own power. The business model of the elite is to encourage ignorance and economic dependence. This is why it creates sanctuary states for illegal impoverished immigrants. If he were “superior to all others” he wouldn’t be working 24/7 for the American people risking his fortune to battle the endemic corruption. He loves America. By contrast, it’s quite obvious that the elites love power and despise America.

          • Matthew_Snow February 11, 2018 at 9:04 am

He’s sure celebrates with the elite. Shows he knew the tax cut was for the rich.

President Trump was in a celebratory mood on Friday night and told a group of his wealthy friends, “You all just got a lot richer” after he signed the tax cuts into law.l

          • BCML February 11, 2018 at 9:50 am

Did an elite beat you up in the school yard? Steal your lunchbox? Knock up your sister? You sure have a complex about the “elites”. If you mean smart successful people, I get it. You can’t relate, they didn’t like you.

        • BCML February 11, 2018 at 8:09 am

You know nothing abut the American Constitutional model. You must have read that on your outhouse door.

    • BCML February 11, 2018 at 8:08 am

What load of rubbish, trash, malarkey, tripe and chest pounding BS. We should be so lucky to have Europe’s problem rather than our own. My guess is you have never been out of your state and have no grasp of America’s situation relative to the rest of the world.

      • Matthew Mosier February 11, 2018 at 8:42 am

I have lived in the “rest of the world”.. I generally enjoyed my experiences but always missed the comforts of home while occupying places that lacked basic American conveniences. The rest of the world is sub-par compared to much of the U.S.

        • BCML February 11, 2018 at 8:53 am

I have immediate family in 5 countries: US, Canada, UK, Germany and Aussie. They lack for NOTHING. They have all of our conveniences” and more and better ones besides. Google: “Most Liveable Cities” and you will see that America has ZERO cities in the top 20; Canada has 3; Aussie has 2. We have awful mass transit, and our shopping is mage malls for overweight suburbanites. American restaurants are a joke. Standard of living in Europe, Canada, Aussie, =Scandinavia, Chile, NZ, and some countries in the far east is better than any city in America. Do some research. In reality, we are a backward country; we just don’t know it. No one in their right mind would choose any American city over London, Paris, Vienna, Toronto, Melbourne. The US is sub-par.

          • Matthew Mosier February 11, 2018 at 9:21 am

I have good friends and aquaintences in all of those countries which you listed as well as around seven more and I can tell you that they are not better than the U.S. Further more, no country, especially Canada, can boast a city on such a list that can jail a citizen for PC crimes, such as having the wrong political opinion and speaking about it. As for mass transit.. which is more convenient, having access to dirty, crowded buses and subways, or having access to your own, personal, transportation? I have noticed that the Left does not like to plan for themselves.. they would rather let the system determine their shopping schedule, for instance, based on the neccasary bus routes, rather than undertake the work required to own and operate their own vehicle. That is their choice, but it is not an example of “greater convenience”, it is, actually, quite the opposite. My Australian friend and myself had a brief debate on the state of the Home improvement sector of their society. The photograph of the Australian equivalent of Home Depot was comparable to a small to midsize American grocery store or large ACE Hardware. My Canadian friend, upon visiting and dropping by a non super center Wal Mart was blown away by the size of the building.

          • BCML February 11, 2018 at 9:45 am

American ant to believe that we are the freest country. Sorry, it ain’t true. Every country in the G20 and most around the world have all the freedoms we enjoy. Read this:
If a Wal Mart blew away your Canadian friend than thats the best we have to offer? Wal Mart?

          • CapitalistRoader February 11, 2018 at 9:24 am

You seem to have an affinity to really, really white places. Aside from Chile and unspecified Far East places, all the countries you list are lily white: Canada=85% European, Australia=85% European, Scandinavia > 90% European, NZ=80% European. And even those unspecified Far East countries are racially homogeneous: Japan=97% ethnic Japanese; China=98% ethnic Han.

Easy to get along, easy to share each others’ expenses when everyone looks, talks, and pretty much thinks exactly the same. Not so easy in the very ethnically diverse (~60% European-American) United States. In fact, the only other large country with similar ethnic diversity as the US is Brazil. Brazil’s GDP per capita is four times smaller than the US, Brazil’s murder rate is five times higher than the US, etc., etc., etc.

Why is it that leftists pine for places where the people have very low levels of melanin in their skin?

          • BCML February 11, 2018 at 9:40 am

Nah: I just like nice places and locations where family live. Last time in Toronto it sure looked tonically diverse to me. Been there? In fact, if you care ti check, Canada has a lower % of Europeans than us. But that wasn’t the point, junior, it was about how America is an over-rated country – mostly because Americans don’t go anywhere and they believe the USA as #1 BS that we peddle to ourselves.

          • CapitalistRoader February 11, 2018 at 11:09 am

Is “family” your euphemism for white?

Canada is funny. Even though the country is #OHSOVERYWHITE, they like to fool themselves into thinking they’re diverse by coining the term visible minority i.e., a German wearing lederhosen is considered a minority.

And like the Europeans, the Canadians are smug about racism in the US. Terrible! Of course it’s easy to call other people racist when–with few exceptions–you live among people of just one race. Japan and the PRC are the same way. Ever been to either of those two countries?

          • BCML February 11, 2018 at 11:11 am

You’re a ill informed a$$hole. Truth is, America is the current racism capital of the free world. HAs been for 200 years. Are you a racist?

          • CapitalistRoader February 11, 2018 at 11:46 am

I haven’t been loose with facts; quite the opposite. I’ve provided solid facts and links to back them up while you just devolve into profanity. But you’re a leftist. As Ronald Reagan famously said about leftists:

It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so many things that aren’t so.

          • BCML February 11, 2018 at 12:16 pm

Data released by Statistics Canada as part of the 2006 census indicated that 49.9% of Toronto’s population is foreign-born.[1] According to the 2011 National Household Survey (NHS) performed by Statistics Canada, that percentage had dropped – only slightly – to 48.6%.[2]” Typical redneck MAGAbilly.

          • Mark Thompson February 11, 2018 at 11:10 am

Look it up. Hey, Americans brought millions of slaves here and outlawed educating them for centuries. We freed them and gave them no money. We have to own that.

          • CapitalistRoader February 11, 2018 at 11:28 am

Approximately 300,000 white northerners died to eliminate slavery. There’s yer reparations right there.

Fun facts: Canada didn’t abolish slavery until 1833, only a few decades before he US. And, like the US, Canada rounded up and incarcerated tens of thousands of ethnic Japanese Canadians.

          • Mark Thompson February 11, 2018 at 11:33 am

We have already paid our reparations in spades with welfare, affirmative action, and Obamaphones. It is time to send them back .

          • CapitalistRoader February 11, 2018 at 11:43 am

African-Americans are every bit as American as any other citizen. Perhaps you should go back to wherever your ancestors came from.

          • Mark Thompson February 11, 2018 at 11:51 am

Unlike them I am happy here and my ancestors came here by choice. Two options- stay here and shut up or get out and go home. Pretty easy and the American way. Lincoln even evaluated plans to repatriate the entire populace to Africa.

          • CapitalistRoader February 11, 2018 at 1:06 pm

Wow. I wasn’t aware that the Constitution had been changed, Mr. Thompson. Which amendment is it that states: Two options- stay here and shut up or get out and go home? The Constitution must have been amended when I wasn’t looking.

          • Mark Thompson February 11, 2018 at 1:33 pm

if you hate white people and America like all leftists why do you even want to stay?

          • CapitalistRoader February 11, 2018 at 11:19 am

            Toronto is 9% black, compared to Detroit @ 83%, Chicago @ 32%, or even Minneapolis @ 19%.

Canadians love their token citizens of African heritage. Just not too many of them.

          • BCML February 11, 2018 at 11:33 am

Big deference. Canada treats them well; no slavery followed by Reconstruction; followed by Jim Crow; followed by segregation; followed by systemic racism. And I checked. Canada’s immigration door is wide open. I guess they see thing differently. You’re dying to lay our cesspool of a society at the foot of the blacks. Go ahead. But it ain’t true. America’s problems are so deep that we will never fix them/ And you are one of them.

          • BCML February 11, 2018 at 12:19 pm

Hilarious. The good ole US of A aiding and abetting another country’s immigration issues. But it tells you something else, the Nigerians really want to go to Canada; who wouldn’t? The only people who want into America are from war torn impoverished countries tat can’t get into Europe or Canada. We’re last choice.

          • Maxithetaxi February 11, 2018 at 12:29 pm

I’m from Canada and the fact of the matter is our doors are not wide open. We have a merit-based immigration policy that is even stricter than what Trump has been proposing for the U.S. Our government sends representatives to U.S. enclaves of illegal aliens to tell them not to come to . I live in Toronto which in its way is a very fine city but I wouldn’t call it great. I’ve spent many years in Chicago and Boston as well as a good deal of time in New York and San Francisco and though they all have their problems they are just marvellous. Torontonians flock to New York for the art, theater, restaurants etc. I love Canada but don’t love the fact that recently our Liberal federal government passed a law that made it mandatory to call transgender people by their preferred pronoun of which there are now about 50 and counting or you can be fined or jailed. I am against it and will never obey it regardless of the consequences. I suggest you stop sh””ting on your own country and try to make it as good a place as it can be.

          • BCML February 11, 2018 at 1:29 pm

You take huge numbers of refugees. We don’t; we want Norwegians. Trouble is they don’t want us. America is not going to change. It has been a cesspool of racism for 2 centuries and now there is growing class division. Future bleak and Trump made it bleaker.

          • Maxithetaxi February 11, 2018 at 1:38 pm

Actually we don’t. If you count illegal aliens as refugees Canada proportionately takes a small fraction of what the U.S. takes. And, as I said, ours is a merit based system which is working out very well. Stop hating your own country and do whatever you can to make it a better place.

          • BCML February 11, 2018 at 2:41 pm

No one counts illegal immigrants as refugees. Why suggest something so ridiculous. We don’t like refugees in America. At present we don’t really like anyone. Including Canadians since, as pour President says, your screwing us on NAFTA. (It is a crock by the way)

Give me a break, Chris. Your side hates everyone who voted for the Democrat, which is roughly half the electorate, and you have all sorts of creative verbiage to define us – “marxists”, “communists”, “libtards”, “snowflakes”, and, finally, the one that truly defines what you’d like to do to us all, “not real Americans”.

    • Frank Natoli February 11, 2018 at 7:52 am

      not real Americans
If you want to “fundamentally change” America, then you’re not a real American. You merely live in America, and despise Americans. Have no doubt, we are happy to return the compliment.

      • mabele February 11, 2018 at 7:54 am

Basically, all you’re saying in a roundabout way is that anyone who wants certain kinds of policies that you don’t happen to agree with is “not a real American”. Merely confirming what I said, which is that you feel half of the electorate doesn’t belong here.

In other words, you’re doing precisely the same thing to your fellow citizens that you were all upset about the “elites” doing to you.

      • BCML February 11, 2018 at 8:05 am

      • Historybuff February 11, 2018 at 11:00 am

I generally will not vote for democrats… 40+ years of Republican activism has conditioned me against such.

I think there is a sickness in America that has infected both the democrats… as well as some ‘republicans’. The sickness essentially is “the ends justify the means”… Ethics, Integrity, Principles are meaningless unless they help reach elitist goals.

In any case, as a pro-life Italian American, I am proud to check off two essential criteria on the Strzok Page deplorable scale.

  13. InBigSkyCountry February 11, 2018 at 7:41 am

How can Democrats think there will be a ‘blue wave’ coming, when they so clearly detest (in this order) Trump voters, white straight males, white straight females, non-white conservatives, old people, young people who dare think for themselves and anyone who won’t wear a pussy hat in public. Last time I looked, that was pretty much 80% of the voters. Democrats hate our existence and look forward gleefully to the day when they can pickup where they left off after Obama punishing us for breathing.

    • mabele February 11, 2018 at 7:48 am

I don’t know when you last looked but it’s only about half the country.

P.S. I’m a straight white male and never felt that Obama hated me.

      • Richard_Reed February 11, 2018 at 10:08 am

The only straight white males that are not truly hated by Democrats are hard core leftists.

It’s hard coming out of denial. Here’s a suggestion: try praising Trump in conversation with proggies and watch them turn on you.

        • mabele February 11, 2018 at 10:50 am

What kind of a non sequitur is that, pardon the unintentional pun. Try praising Obama in conversation with a Trump supporter and watch him or her turn on you.

          • Sequitur February 11, 2018 at 11:11 am

Whatever it is, it is not a pun.

Thing is, I knew what Obama was and is, but still was able to give him the benefit of the doubt when he was elected. He earned my disdain through his actions and attitude. The results of his reign are evident, if you look.

Trump haters are operating on a whole different level, which originates in their core belief that they, the elite, the chosen, the masters, are just naturally correct about everything and are therefore entitled to rule. The rest of us are just nuisances.

But, please, try my suggestion. The fact that you answered my post indicates that you are capable of growth and, perhaps (in view of the excesses of the past year), are ready to abandon the left-fascist paradigm.

  17. Cosmosis February 11, 2018 at 8:06 am

They are all bound together by a common set of liberal bigotries. Its no more complicated than that. If you share their set of bigotries you are given dispensation via a series of media/cultural cues that let you know its alright to have that bigotry and the absolving media/culture establishment may even then suggest an additional bigotry for you to adopt so that you remain “in synch” so that you carry the approved set of them. What you see in the text messages is simply two over-empowered yet under-developed personalities getting to know each other through a sharing of their bigotries. Its so patently obvious and immature its laughable. These pedestrian little Eichmanns are in positions of power? Maybe its more frightening than laughable.

    • mabele February 11, 2018 at 8:32 am

You folks share your own bigotries on forums like these. Anyone who doesn’t agree with you fully – whether a secretary in Manhattan or hairdresser in downtown LA who feel differently than you about Obamacare or immigration policy and vote accordingly – is deemed a member of the “coastal elites”. A fellow citizen who thinks abortion is wrong but doesn’t want to force his or her opinion on someone else is a “baby killer”. Another who feels that perhaps taxes should be lowered on working class people but left unchanged on millionaires so that the federal deficit doesn’t expand uncontrollably is immediately labeled a “Communist”.

The point isn’t whether such folks are right or wrong in holding these views, it’s that many on your side engage with your opponents in precisely the same poisonous way as the “elites” you and the author of this article so fervently criticize. You’re no better, in other words – and your moral self-righteousness seems to blind you to what you’re doing the same way it blinds the Left’s self-proclaimed elites.

When you start disagreeing with your ordinary Democratic-voting countrymen in a respectful manner without calling them names and attributing evil motives to them all the time, I’ll start to believe you’re better people than Hillary and the liberal elites who’ve labeled you “deplorable”.

      • UNCLE February 11, 2018 at 8:35 am

Spend some time on a college campus. Then tell me who is bigoted and uncompromising to the opinion of others.

        • mabele February 11, 2018 at 8:45 am

As I said, spend some time on a conservative comment forum and tell me who’s intolerant of the opinion of others.

You guys are no better than the “elites” you’re all lathered up about. Indeed, one could justifiably say you’re in the process of erecting yourselves into a New Moral Elite in reaction.

          • D. Ploribus Unum February 11, 2018 at 9:29 am

          • mabele February 11, 2018 at 9:33 am

        • mabele February 11, 2018 at 10:43 am

      • mabele February 11, 2018 at 8:54 am

Massachusetts is a leader in health care technology, which certainly doesn’t qualify either as vaporware or financial instruments.

Again, a gratuitous putdown of the people living and working in the blue states. But we’re supposed to believe your side is composed of upright Christian folks, not in the least morally self-righteous like those nasty Democrats who stereotyped all rural people as “deplorable” and “bitter clingers”.

      • Matthew_Snow February 11, 2018 at 8:56 am

66% of the US gdp is produced in counties that voted for Clinton. Look it up. Blue states generally subsidize the ‘taker’ states.

          • Matthew_Snow February 11, 2018 at 9:34 am

My mistake, it was 64%. Probably 66% by now. From the Brookings Institution:

“The less-than-500 counties that Hillary Clinton carried nationwide encompassed a massive 64 percent of America’s economic activity as measured by total output in 2015. By contrast, the more-than-2,600 counties that Donald Trump won generated just 36 percent of the country’s output—just a little more than one-third of the nation’s economic activity.“

  25. bradlillmars February 11, 2018 at 8:37 am

In all the discussion regarding these two scumbags, I’ve yet to hear or read anything about their work ethic or the dismal monitoring of their primary job responsibilities.
    50,000 txt msg over 6 months = 400 per work day (50,000 / (25 wks x 5 days per wk)
assume 1 minute to read and respond = 400 minutes per day
    400 minutes = 6.6 hours
assuming they used their lunch hour to read and text, that means they only worked 2.4 hours per day (8.0 – 5.6)

These two wouldn’t have lasted one pay period in corporate America.

    • Matthew_Snow February 11, 2018 at 9:15 am

Math much? This was the five months of missing texts. And by the way, there are 7 days in a week, and say 16 waking hours a day. Not 8.

“Justice Department on Friday provided Johnson’s committee with 384 pages of text messages, approximately 9,000 texts, exchanged between FBI employees Lisa Page and Strzok.”

    Great article!

  29. chris_zzz February 11, 2018 at 8:57 am

The Dems and Marxist college professors are teaching people (everyone except cis gendered straight white males) that they are victims. This then becomes a reason/excuse to demand “stuff”, hate others, fail in life, and generally see the world in a twisted self-centered way.

    • Matthew_Snow February 11, 2018 at 9:08 am

Umm.. if conservative sites stopped writing about how much they are being victimized, their sites would go blank. That was the major point of the article.

      • chris_zzz February 11, 2018 at 9:17 am

Wrong, my syntactically challenged friend. The point of the article was that progressives are hypocrites who don’t care about the people they seek to rule over. I don’t hear a lot of non-progressives saying that there is systematic discrimination that prevents them from succeeding. (See BLM) Nor do I see non-Marxists objecting to teaching Western Civ, reading white male authors, or studying art because of the race and gender of the artist.

        • Matthew_Snow February 11, 2018 at 9:23 am

‘They don’t care’, and what’s the obvious result? You’re a victim! Of the bad trade deals, immigrants, Wall Street, the FBI, and on and on.

          • chris_zzz February 11, 2018 at 9:36 am

There is a fundamental difference between complaining about policies (globalization, immigration) and corruption and claiming, as progressives do, that 25%-50% of the people in the country are racists, etc., and that the nation’s entire past is marred by such evil that we need to remake civilization. The progressive victim culture requires that the problem can never be fixed because it is fueling a movement. You’re equating this to people who simply want policies changed?

          • Matthew_Snow February 11, 2018 at 9:55 am

Trump sold the need for policy changes by portraying Americans as being victimized by ‘others’. The economically semi-literate bought this. Manufacturing was victimized by bad trade deals. If that were the case, then US manufacturing output wouldn’t be at an all time high, would it? But foreigners and the elite make better nefarious characters than automation.

I haven’t seen calls to remake civilization, but judging from the reaction to Trumps Charlotte statements, 25% isn’t unreasonable.

          • manapp99 February 11, 2018 at 10:14 am

So insisting that trade deals be fair to America is claiming victimization? Wanting to put the needs of Americans first is claiming victimization? Not going around the world apologizing for being American is victimization? Wanting to stop the outsourcing of American business due to a poorly written corporate tax code is victimization? .

So to you…wanting to correct any wrong is victimization. Right?

          • Matthew_Snow February 11, 2018 at 10:29 am

He sold you on those lines. Trade deals were easy. They were going to get done last year. Nothing. How long will you believe that Trump will fix them?

Poorly written tax code? Tax lawyers are already having a field day, and there are some loopholes encouraging offshoring. And a ton encouraging tax evasion.

          • chris_zzz February 11, 2018 at 12:21 pm

You’re changing the subject from what constitutes victimization and who is claiming it to the efficacy of Trump’s arguments and actions.

You’ve lost the victimization argument because apparently you are unfamiliar with progressive critical studies writings. They self-identify as victims, whereas most Americans do not want to think of themselves as victims. Wanting policies changed is not the same as claiming victimhood status.

On your view that 25% of the U.S. population are racist and other ‘ists, I feel sorry for you. You must have a lot of fear in your heart to think so poorly of 80M of your fellow Americans.

          • Matthew_Snow February 11, 2018 at 2:49 pm

Hypocritical and condescending. I’m sure you’re an expert in critical writing studies, even though you can’t critically analyze the motivations you the people you identify with.

  30. 1952rmdg February 11, 2018 at 9:11 am

You omitted Brett Stephens as another anti-American – he wrote an op-ed in the NY Times in summer 2017 advocating the deportation of Americans and their replacement with (docile) hardworking third world immigrants – just as the Nazis had advocated the deportation of the “untermenschen” or “socially undesirables” in 1930s Germany including Jews, communists, etc., we see the same thing, as you note in your article, from these elites – the hate and disdain have come full circle.

  31. JohnnyClams February 11, 2018 at 9:13 am

Deplorable is one thing, but irredeemable means you consign them to the outer darkness. There is no place for them in the world, Hillary’s 25%. This is a statement of existential enmity, like the Bolsheviks deciding to “eliminate the Kulaks as a class.”

    • mabele February 11, 2018 at 10:36 am

The point of Sarah Palin’s “real Americans” comment was to metaphorically exclude that half of the electorate that didn’t support her from being viewed as appropriate participants in the affairs of the Republic. You folks, in other words, are just as good as elite liberals in defining certain people as worthy of being consigned to the “outer darkness”.

      • JohnnyClams February 11, 2018 at 2:25 pm

“Real Americans” is rather softer than “irredeemable.” You miss the point. She was pointing to the ordinary Americans that people like you despise and would probably like to ship off to labor and reeducation camps. Big difference.

        • mabele February 11, 2018 at 2:36 pm

Love it how you assume I’m not an “ordinary American” simply because I don’t vote like you . At some level or other, that’s the fundamental problem right there.

I used to live in a trailer, literally. At that time, I barely had enough money to buy my breakfast. Each morning at the Hardee’s, it was a debate whether I could spare two dollars for a biscuit and egg sandwich versus hoarding that for my rent. But of course, because I now hold certain views about how to help the poor that you find objectionable, I’m a “communist”. Certainly not a “real American”, despite the subsequent seven years of active duty in the military.

I’ve actually been told by people on your side of the fence that I should not only “self-deport”, but accept the idea that if I don’t change my political views perhaps I, and my family, should be killed. Was Hillary’s comment worse than that?

Fortunately I have plenty of conservative friends who’ve taught me to believe that extremists like the ones who habitually post on threads like this are in the minority.

          • JohnnyClams February 11, 2018 at 2:59 pm

Oh stop whining. If you were a real American you’d be irredeemable.

          • mabele February 11, 2018 at 3:56 pm

I guess I am, then. According to you folks, anyone who doesn’t agree with you about everything is irredeemable by definition.

The former governor of Virginia wanted to give felons voting rights. He knew which party they would overwhelmingly vote for. Which party? I leave that guesswork up to the reader. Not really particularly challenging. Hint: He is a close friend of the Clintons.

          • George Hanson February 11, 2018 at 1:59 pm

I’m raring for some man love. That’s a very brave admission.

        • Defcon 1 February 11, 2018 at 10:14 am

The Obama / Clinton cabal spent 8 years trashing Traditional America in the most direct and offensive way. This was not a miscalculation or inadvertent misstep. It was by design, and they are still at it, in spades. What the heck do you expect; that people will roll over and knuckle under. Now, it is being substantiated they are willing to use the police powers of the Federal behemoth to sustain their will-to-power agenda ignoring the Constitution and the Consent of the Governed. I would say the instincts of Traditional America to hate these usurpers is quite justified. You reap what you sew.

          • Sebastian Cremmington February 11, 2018 at 10:23 am

Most Republicans don’t know that future Trump supporters voted for Hillary in 2008 because the Bush years were so awful and they were looking for anyone to help them. The superdelegates stole the nomination from Hillary and gave it to Obama because they preferred his coalition to Hillary’s coalition of “racist” white working class. Then in 2016 Hillary embraced Mook and the Obama coalition while turning her back on the people that supported her in record numbers in 2008…the rest is history!

          • Cyberdog February 11, 2018 at 10:45 am

I doubt everything you posted. No Real Republican would ever vote for Hillary Clinton, past or present

          • Sebastian Cremmington February 11, 2018 at 11:37 am

Trump supporters aren’t “real” Republicans and they are on average more moderate than the Republican base.

        • Cletus B Neckbeard February 11, 2018 at 10:27 am

LOL Liar. But you can always take pride in having wet yourself ever time Howdy Dooty repeated “hope,” change,” and “free health insurance.”

I can understand your saying that–it must be very embarrassing to have been so easily played by such a rank amateur bullshitter.

Isn’t that a site owned by a guy who thought Hillary would be the president?

Unlike a good neighbor, ObamaCare isn’t there.

          • George Hanson February 11, 2018 at 11:04 am

Face it, Kevin. Trump loved the poorly educated, and the poorly educated loved him right back. They’re so dumb that they still believe, despite all evidence to the contrary, that he actually gives a shit about them. Sad.

          • Cletus B Neckbeard February 11, 2018 at 11:14 am

I don’t know that any really think he gives a shit about them. After all, they’re smart enough to know it’s not a president’s job to “give a shit” about anyone. The Constitution actually lays all of that out. Read it, sometime. You won’t find the words “give a shit about” in it anywhere.

You’re taking the wrong perspective on that, anyway. The Trumps voters, again, being smarter, KNEW Hillary doesn’t.

          • Sebastian Cremmington February 11, 2018 at 11:39 am

No, the Clintons’ hobbies include lying to Democrats and stabbing liberals in the back.

          • DeoVindice February 11, 2018 at 2:16 pm

If they live in the projects.

          • George Hanson February 11, 2018 at 4:29 pm

I had to resort to Urban Dictionary, because no legitimate dictionary acknowledges such slurs. They are in use only among racist scum like you, and Waylon and the rest of your klan.

          • DeoVindice February 11, 2018 at 5:25 pm

Actually the term is used within da hood by the blacks. I first heard the term from a Black. Just like the dreaded “n-word.” As long as Blacks use it daily they really have no grounds for being mad when Whites use it.

          • George Hanson February 11, 2018 at 5:48 pm

By “Whites”, you mean those such as your fellow Southern Heritage Preservationist Pat Hines, don’t you? –

            Pat Hines 2 hours ago
“Killing communists, which Dylann Roof did, is always a plus, a benefit for the white race. The so-called “church” has been a nest of negro communists for many decades. Roof’s main problem is that he didn’t do any planning for his post attack evasion and escape. Too bad that. The US government appears determined to murder him, someday there will be a statue honoring his sacrifice for the white race.”

          • DeoVindice February 11, 2018 at 6:27 pm

I suppose he is one. I disagree with him about Roof. Roof is a murderer. Nothing more. He certainly isn’t a “benefit” to anything.
Why are you trying to change the subject?

          • Mountaingirl49 February 11, 2018 at 6:48 pm

Riiiight. So if SOME people in the military steal from our country….then therefore we can accuse ALL the military of being thieves,….and they should have NUTHIN to say about it!!

Damn, bigot brains are so much FUNNNNNN!!

          • DeoVindice February 11, 2018 at 7:03 pm

          • Mountaingirl49 February 11, 2018 at 7:08 pm

            Your own words,
“Just like the dreaded “n-word.” As long as Blacks use it daily they really have no grounds for being mad when Whites use it.”
            My analogy makes perfect sense.

          • CosmotKat February 11, 2018 at 11:29 am

            The outrage machine personified by
Democrats like you defines people not by what they care about, but by what they hate. Democrats hate and fear the patriotic American. The left has always been better at hate than any of the more positive emotions. It hates Donald Trump or the Kock brothers and now Devin Nunes. Much more than they love Hillary or Bernie Sanders. Democrats
love is fleeting, but its hatreds endure. Unlike the old lefties, it is far
more passionate about what they hate or oppose than what they support.

          • George Hanson February 11, 2018 at 1:53 pm

I made weak-minded analogy, and failed. My agenda is plainly evident.

          • CosmotKat February 11, 2018 at 11:24 am

When you have nothing to say you turn to fallacious web sites to enhance your smear. We all know that educated is a highly subjective term. Many people are highly credentialed, but poorly educated perhaps you fit in that category. A portion of the Democratic party is highly credentialed, but poorly educated and the highest percentage of the Democratic Party base is not even credentialed let alone educated. Pew studies have consistently rated Republicans more informed and even the New York times admitted the Tea Party, a group much maligned by shallow thinkers like you, were wealthier and smarter than the Average American of both party’s. If you have to reach as low as you did to make yourself feel better while smearing those in this comment area as ignorant than your thoughts become mere projections of your own intellectual deficiencies.

          • Cletus B Neckbeard February 11, 2018 at 11:37 am

Although I can’t vouch for your comment on the Tea Partiers, the rest of your comment is spot on. Here’s one I’ve used for quite a while that has caused lots of wailing and gnashing among “the smart set.”

          • CosmotKat February 11, 2018 at 11:44 am

Thanks for your nice reply. Please note headline:
“Poll Finds Tea Party Backers Wealthier and More Educated”

It’s the NYT so, it manages to get in it’s share of smears and it appears they try to spin the article, but the fact remains the “polls” used by progressives is usually hyper-partisan B.S.

            Thanks for the link!

      • mabele February 11, 2018 at 10:32 am

I get the distinct feeling that a lot of you folks think all liberals are clever but morally contemptible people who need to be ruled for THEIR own good, by their conservatively minded moral superiors.

        • Cyberdog February 11, 2018 at 10:41 am

You couldn’t be more wrong. Republicans, for the most part, are for individual freedom. The left on the other hand are for increased government rule and the denial of individual freedom. Simply look at all the unnecessary Executive Actions the last democrat imposed with his pen and phone. Meanwhile, this president is erasing those dictatorial actions by the dozens. We want to free the masses from dependency on government. The elitists want to impose rule by government. Nothing would make me happier than if the left could survive without making everyone else pay for thier victim mentality.

          • mabele February 11, 2018 at 12:51 pm

Disagree. When a majority of people in the country, whether you view them as liberals are not, vote for policies that you view as “socialist” or “unconstitutional”, whether they are or not, your view becomes that you as a minority are simply entitled to reverse or override them without any need to seek compromise. We’ve seen this with a number of things recently, including Obamacare repeal and tax cuts for the already wealthy, neither of which were supported by a broad majority of the public including, seemingly, a significant proportion of those who voted for Mr. Trump.

I don’t see by any means that you’re for the idea of allowing people to make their own policy decisions when you happen to think they’re wrong.

          • disqus_06OcnNZNS0 February 11, 2018 at 2:10 pm

so it sounds like you just swallow the kool aid on major issues such as the tax cuts

          • mabele February 11, 2018 at 3:53 pm

It’s not “Kool-Aid” in my view when the deficit suddenly swells to more than $1 trillion a few weeks after the Republican tax bill passes. But perhaps that’s because my wife is an accountant and debt is something that, as a household, we view as a potentially existential threat if it gets totally out of hand.

Debt is something one may have to accept when times are bad, but becomes something to rid oneself of when times are good.

  37. Sebastian Cremmington February 11, 2018 at 10:14 am

Trigger warning for ❄️ writer—Russians have [email protected] culture which makes them deplorable. Most Muslims also embrace an inferior religion which makes them deplorable. Of course Russian and Muslims practice homophobia and misogyny so Republicans might find their cultures redeeming.

    • manapp99 February 11, 2018 at 10:16 am

It’s not about Hillary or Democrats anymore. They lost. For the next 7 more years it’s all about America and President Trump.

    Demoncrats can go pound sand

  40. JMIII February 11, 2018 at 10:52 am

These elites are 100% correct. We are scum and America is a terrible country. So we need to do the immigrants of the world a big favor and keep them out of this hellhole. And those already here need to be liberated so that they can immediately return to the paradises that they were mistakenly lured out of by greedy businesspeople.
President Trump is doing them a big favor enforcing immigration laws.

  41. Mark Thompson February 11, 2018 at 10:54 am

They prefer mindless inner city illiterates. They don’t think before they vote.

  42. Max Flasher February 11, 2018 at 12:47 pm

Trump won the election in spite of our wonderfully progressive msm and our wonderfully progressive ruling class elites running a nonstop hate campaign against him. I consider Trump’s victory quite impressive and his first year in office has been much better than I expected.

David Brooks: Those of us trying to rebut Trump have the disadvantage that “Our Elites Really Do Stink”.

Iredeemable, why did Hillary use this word? How do you fix iredeemable? Why did she never take it back? Why did the MSM let her off the hook by saying she was sorry she only implied half of Trump supporters are iredeemable?

    • The Red February 11, 2018 at 2:31 pm

After her trial(s); Lock her up in a small padded cell. Give her time to think about “life and its meaning” (not too long. Incarceration is expensive). If that doesn’t work to bring her to such a level of remorse, repentance, and reasoning that she can be trusted when let out into the yard among prisoners at break time, exact the state’s rightful option to send such a treasonous murderous shrew into the next world … in which the inescapable facts will be presented to all who enter.

  45. The Red February 11, 2018 at 1:57 pm

Thank you Mr. Buskirk. Very well stated.

I wonder if Illiberal Leftoidism were satire its actors (accomplished/well-seasoned) would make millions in the entertainment biz; enjoy adoration of millions of permanent, uproarious, loyal fans.

the hatred was also manifest at Waco… was a double whammy because they were religious and in Texas…..the sniper that killed Randy Weaver’s wife also lied about not firing on the compound the day of the fire….then after the fire was started by the fbi, they shot the people trying to flee out of the back door.
A friend was in Mexico at that time and Mexicans would say “so your country would do this to its citizens”?

I’ve seen comments by people who say they’re moderate leftists who don’t agree with far-left positions on things like identity politics or Sanctuary Cities or, far worse, a border state like California being a Sanctuary State.

It’s the far-left that sets the agenda for the entire left though. That’s why we now have a border state like California as a “Sanctuary State” which, in effect, encourages illegal immigration.

It’s also why so many of our wonderfully progressive universities have become such hotbeds of hate whitey fanaticism.

“Controversial ‘Problem of Whiteness’ course reintroduced at UW-Madison”.

I consider the left quite insane. How anyone can see anything positive about things like illegal immigration and anti-white racial hate is very much a mystery to me.

  48. Bob Clampett February 11, 2018 at 3:41 pm

Isn’t it curious how those “bitter clingers” rose up and put a man into office that shredding Obama’s legacy???!!!

Moreover, isn’t it curious how the oh-so-clever Democrats have had the weapons they used against Trump and conservatives now turned against them and now they are exposed for all to see as vicious subversives.

  49. Kevin Blankinship February 11, 2018 at 4:21 pm

Let’s deconstruct Buskirk’s reasoning. First the term ‘ruling class.’ Buskirk takes aim at gentry liberals, but ignores the major business owners, corporate shareholders, and their army of executives and business-people. I’ve known a good many executives in my industry, and most of them consider themselves the object of society. This is not to distract from the academic elite, but there is a corporate elite that is richer than they, outranks them, and even funds them.

The so-called ‘deep state’ is as much an entity on the right as on the left. Buskirk may allude to the Brookings Institution, but the Republicans have the Hoover Institution, the American Enterprise Institute, the Cato Institute, the Manhattan Institute, and a tier of lesser think-tanks from which Republican administrations draw their top apparatchiks.

Buskirk invents an alleged contempt of foreigners on the part of the left, while ignoring the documented complaints by Trump and his base against foreigners.

Buskirk reads things into what people say that aren’t there. His paragraph about what Obama said does not back up his claim that the former president derided the people of the Rust Belt. Obama’s comments sound more like an expression of sympathy, and at the worst perhaps, misunderstanding.

Not to defend Hillary, but Sarah Palin as the Republican VP nominee made a host of racist and xenophobic remarks, and her following ate it up. Again, the evidence is there.

Buskirk is a second-rate political hack who thinks that his insensible ravings constitute learned commentary.

    • disqus_06OcnNZNS0 February 11, 2018 at 4:37 pm

you think Obama has sympathy for those in the rust belt or flyover country?….they don’t want charity, they want jobs but that would mean they would be more independent and less manageable….spare me

      • mabele February 11, 2018 at 6:14 pm

Yeah, I think he had sympathy. Do I think you have sympathy for people in blue states whose political preferences, concerns, and worries for their children might not align with your own? None whatsoever.

Dummy. Why don’t you change your Name to “Brainless.” That’d be a much more honest and accurate description of your mental condition.

I just read an article by Andrew Sullivan called “We All Live on Campus Now” about how the leftist insanity in our wonderfully progressive universities is seeping out and poisoning our whole culture.

Does that concern you? Obviously not. You prefer spending your time squeaking about how evil Trump and his supporters are. How on God’s earth people who consider themselves so extremely intelligent can be so horrifyingly stupid and destructive is truly one of the great mysteries of our time.

        • Name February 11, 2018 at 7:32 pm

Andrew Sullivan is the best you have. He writes complex articles.. better than vdh. a brainless tool like you is very susceptible to right wing are kinda like trump.

ok may be a handful who might march in women marches, protect wild life etc but no antifa, consider:
there are 20 million people enrolled in college this year there are over 4500 colleges in the US. a handful of schools have a very liberal tradition of protest. those are where there are antifa.

the rest are drinking and/ or trying to get good jobs.

          • Mountaingirl49 February 12, 2018 at 8:25 am

So, you begin with LIES… liberals amongst ALL THE MANY college educated people you rub elbows with.

Then, “ok may be a handful who might march in women marches, protect wild life etc”

Maybe is one word, Mr. College.

            Max Flasher’s points remain valid.

Colleges have become indoctrination centers for the liberal ruling class to brainwash this country.

I just told you all I talk to many college kids and i dont see many that are politically indoctrinated. anyway. The ones that are liberal ( i did think of a couple overnight) are thoughtful people. They are not brainwashed, maybe just receptive at this stage in life.

To be honest the political correctness begins in elementary and middle school.

Max and you are wrong. Did you get the fact that there are 20 million people in college today?

catch you down the line as I mistakenly thought you might be someone to have decent exchanges with.

          • Name February 12, 2018 at 8:47 am

elites are people that have benefited most from our institutions. so their function is to preserve our institutions for others( hint therir kids and grandkids). it’s also in their interest to keep those institutions intact until they die .

so what elites do is stand firm against mob rule and strong populist movements that can spring up. elites protect democracy from crazy extremes.

I didn t come up with the above. I read articles on this.

          • Mountaingirl49 February 12, 2018 at 8:59 am

Well, you might want to change your reading choices…you are drinking the globalist koolaid.
Preserving institutions sounds more like traditional, conservative values.
You don’t have to be elite to want to preserve institutions.
“Stand firm against mob rule,”? What complete and utter BS.
Once again, you liberals have COMPLETELY missed the populist, GRASS ROOTS movement that elected President Trump.
WE are the movement of the people NOW!!!!
The roles are REVERSED from the 60’s.
YOU are on the WRONG SIDE of history.

You may be right, there may be some right wingers in the Deep State.
And there may be some right wingers in the elites.
But the point is, the ruling class is NOT looking out for the little guys.

They want the little people to follow blindly and do as we’re told.
          Most Americans don’t want globalism.
Most Americans still believe in BORDERS.
Most Americans don’t like identity politics.
Most Americans still admire MLK, and anyone else who fights for truth, justice and the American way!!!

      • Kevin Blankinship February 12, 2018 at 7:39 am

Donald Trump and much of his cabinet ARE the ruling class. They and their point men in Congress (Paul Ryan and MItch McConnell) recently passed a huge tax giveaway to corporations and the rich. They will sell you the same old song about how this will show up in your paycheck and create jobs. Rubbish!

You screwed up when you voted for Trump and now we’re stuck with this guy for three more years. Your real champions were Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren in the Democratic Party. They and their faction were the ones who were bent on looking our for you – to bring back the New Deal of FDR. The right answer is to take back the Democratic Party from the gentry liberals like Hillary Clinton and Kirsten Gillebrand, who are only interested in women’s issue anyway, and return it to the New Deal populism of FDR, Truman, and Lyndon Johnson.

        • Mountaingirl49 February 12, 2018 at 7:56 am

Well aren’t you special. Unlike you, I understand the tax changes, and I also understand how economies work. Our household will be PAYING LESS TAXES.

You screwed up when you believed the lies of the Democrats.
Hillary only interested in women’s issues????? What a joke!

Bring back the New Deal?? You should move up to Canada or Europe somewhere, where they believe in the NANNY state, so big DADDY GOVERNMENT can take care of you.

          • Kevin Blankinship February 12, 2018 at 5:28 pm

I stand to get at least $5K more back in taxes next year if not more, so I get an immediate benefit from taxes next year too.

I’m in my early 60s, and I was in elementary school through junior high when the New Deal coalition was still in charge of the Democratic party. Most people lived better back then – they didn’t have to work crazy hours to keep their job, college, health care, and cars were much more affordable, and opportunities for advancement were better. People had more freedom without having to contend with a growing surveillance state, information service firms, or laws requiring they fasten their seat belts. The New Deal worked and it provided a better life for Americans than anything what Reagan or the Republicans have promised since.

The stats on income inequality bear me out: GDP per capita doubled since 1973. Median income stayed about the same. The top 1% saw their incomes triple. Concentration of income is almost at a record high in this country. We are becoming increasingly an extractive economy for the ‘job creators.’

To guys like you: “let them eat their ideology.” Like communism, the right-wing/free market/supply side/Tea Party way of economics doesn’t put the food on the table.

          • Poshboy February 12, 2018 at 7:04 pm

Until August 1971, we had a stable currency that allowed one breadwinner in each family. But once the value of the dollar was severely reduced over the next 10 years, both husband and wife had to find jobs to maintain the same level of purchasing power.

The top 1% is just more clever to manipulate post-1971 fiat values better than the average worker.

BTW, the New Deal was a disaster for America, our Constitution, and our free-market economy. If FDR and his brain trust could have used the power of Google and the NSA to control America, they would have done so in a New York minute.

So whose fault is all this?
“The destruction of the ‘American Way’ accelerated under my watch – and yours, if you’re anywhere my age – so let’s fess up – we were part of the problem. How so? We let a bunch of ‘developmentally arrested’ adolescent know nothings take over the entire culture and country – every institution you can name is run by so-called liberals (fascists is a better word). It took them over 100 years, but let’s face it – they are in charge and they are not bashful about telling us that they are.” – quote from – – WeDaPeople allowed it.
So WTF are we going to do about it? Read the link and get real!
The blame game is just the starting point!

What an amazing piece — Buskirk sums it all up beautifully. I have stopped reading, paying for movies, buying products from advertisers who support those who have absolute contempt for me (I fall in about six of those categories.) And until we get united, connected (check out and get on the same page, we’re going to continue to lose to the Despicables.

Defined as “not able to be saved, improved, or corrected.” What do you do with irredeemable’s, you get rid of them. You ‘liquidate’ them, as the esteemed ‘Brother #1’, known to the world as Pol Pot, did to those he saw as ‘enemies’. If you think this is over the top or outrageous, I think you should research Noam Chomsky. Just search Chomsky/Pol Pot/Cambodia and read. Better use duck-duck-go as I’m sure Google is adjusting their results to keep such an esteemed ‘Academic’ from undue criticism. Behind every ‘progressive’ is Stalin/Pol Pot waiting to settle the score. Think passive-aggressive grade school kids getting even. Be afraid, be very afraid.

All true, but the Cambodians leaving Phnom Penh in 1975 weren’t armed to the teeth like is the average Red State American. And we shoot a hell of a lot better than any of them do.

Let them try their “liquidation.” They and their families won’t survive the opening week of sportiness. Remember, at that sad point, all the gloves are off, and all the choices have been made. And such nefarious actions by them will be drawn to its natural conclusion: a complete liquidation of the Left in the United States.

I’m not worried about any of it ever happening; they’re too cowardly to try anything like what they want to do to us because they know 3% of the US population (9 million patriotic souls) won’t let them remain alive on our verdant planet. Many of us took oaths to the Constitution that we still believe in. –11B, 29ID

I have no problem with this.

That’s why the 2nd amendment is a key to our Republic and it’s future. The Progressive/Liberal class can’t get the support to amend the Constitution to get rid of the 2nd amendment so they will just use ‘common sense’ laws to do it. Once this practice is ‘normalized’, the 1st amd others will be next. If you want to change the Constitution, the Constitution has ways to be amended. Not easy, but it’s been done. Prohibition, enacted and repealed. It’s about power, nothing more. 67N 2/6 Cav-4/229 Av Desert Storm. 152D 2ACR, OIF1

funny because it looks like “liquidation” is the only solution for the infestation of leftists that America currently suffers.

      Some sort of Final Solution.

Rep. Keith Ellison (D., Minn.), deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee, attended a private event with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in 2013, according to a newly resurfaced report. Was Barack Obama and Valerie Jarrett in attendance also? .

I’m part of a rapidly shrinking minority and it befuddles me. Have I suffered a recent concussion, or perhaps employed solvents in a poorly ventilated environment? Or is my confusion merely par for the course among geriatric racists?

        “…rapidly shrinking minority…”

        Have you considered dressing warmer?

My comments, and those of my fellow anti gunuts scream underendowed racist. No amount of twisting or spinning can hide it. I’m sorry I was were raised stupid by pig farmers, and that I was an ugly, acne-afflicted kid. I’m sorry that I live in a trailer, and work at a menial job. I do wish, however, that I would suffer silently, and spare the rest of us my dumb, ugly worldview.

With all that sorrow, you have the makings of a new John Deutschendorf song!

I was hoping you would be posting Rocky Mountain High.

Just tag on a “do wah ditty” onto a preexisting song at it will be like new. Don’t you have any rhythm?

There’s nothing to worry about; Barack Obama’s not a Muslim. He just surrounds himself with them and populates our government with them. :o)

Democrats and their allies are scum, criminals, traitors.
They deserve the most severe punishments; life imprisonment, the gallows.

Strzok can remember it in the future because it’s the same construction used in other words, like “adulteries” and “felonies.”

The unfolding political corruption is just the public manifestation of a deeper social and political crisis that strikes at the heart of our ability to maintain a system of constitutional self-government.

    I’d bet against it.
