Two IRS Whistleblowers will testify before the House Oversight Committee next week to provide insight into the Biden clan’s influence-peddling schemes and how political appointees in the Department of Justice interfered with the criminal investigation into the family’s shady business dealings.
According to IRS Supervisory Special Agent Gary Shapley and an unnamed IRS criminal investigator, the Justice Department refused to follow evidence that implicated Joe Biden, tipped off Hunter Biden’s attorneys, and slow-walked the investigation to let the clock to run out.
The whistleblowers told the committee in closed door testimony that from 2014-2019, Hunter Biden personally received 8.3 Million Dollars from Ukraine, China, and Romania and didn’t pay taxes on the income. In total, Hunter Biden and associates received $17.3 million from the three countries, according to the whistleblowers, but the Biden Department of Justice attempted to block the IRS agents investigating the case.
They alleged that career prosecutors originally intended to charge Hunter Biden with numerous tax violations dating back to 2014, but the sweeping indictment was thwarted by appointees of Joe Biden.
Although evidence of hundreds of crimes and conflicts of interest—including FARA violations, drug violations, sex trafficking, bribery and money laundering—were identified on Hunter Biden’s “laptop from Hell,” Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss reached a “sweetheart plea deal” with Hunter last month.
The younger Biden pleaded guilty to two federal misdemeanor counts of failing to pay his taxes and entered probation over the gun charge, and is expected to serve no jail time. However, a federal judge still needs to sign off on the plea bargain prosecutors brokered with Hunter’s legal team.
“Since taking the gavel in January, the Committee on Oversight and Accountability has made rapid progress in our investigation into the Biden family’s domestic and international business dealings to determine whether these activities compromise U.S. national security and President Biden’s ability to lead with impartiality. From the thousands of financial records we’ve obtained, we know the Biden family set up over a 20 shell companies, engaged in intentionally complicated financial transactions with foreign adversaries, and made a concerted effort to hide the payments and avoid scrutiny,” said Chairman James Comer.
Thanks to the good work of Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, IRS whistleblowers recently provided information to Congress that confirm many findings of our investigation. Additionally, these whistleblowers provided information about how the Justice Department refused to follow evidence that implicated Joe Biden, tipped off Hunter Biden’s attorneys, allowed the clock to run out with respect to certain charges, and put Hunter Biden on the path to a sweetheart plea deal. Americans are rightfully angry about this two-tiered system of justice that seemingly allows the Biden family to operate above the law. We need to hear from whistleblowers and other witnesses about this weaponization of federal law enforcement power. This hearing is an opportunity for the American people to hear directly from these credible and brave whistleblowers. I look forward to their testimony as the Oversight Committee, along with the House Judiciary Committee and Ways and Means Committee, work to deliver transparency and accountability.
