Israel Bracing For a Direct Attack From Iran Within the Next Two Days

Iran is expected to attack Israel in the next 24 to 48 hours, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday, citing an individual who was briefed by Iranian leadership. The source told the WSJ that the Islamic regime has discussed attack plans, although “no final decision has been made.”

Iran has been expected to retaliate against the Jewish State after the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria was bombed, with seven members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) Quds Force perishing in the attack.

Tehran held huge funeral ceremonies for the seven officers who perished in the attack.

Iran publicly threatened to respond to the attack and the Intelligence Community predicted that an Iranian attack on Israel “could be imminent.”

The Jewish state is reportedly preparing for an unprecedented “direct attack” on the north or south side of the country.

According to the Journal, the IRGC contacted Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei with options to strike Israeli interests earlier this week.

Three days after the attack, the Revolutionary Guards posted an Islamic meme on X with the words: “They will find no guardian or helper…”

The IRGC reportedly contacted the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei earlier this week with options to strike various Israeli interests.

According to the WSJ report, Iran may utilize its proxies in Iraq and Syria to attack Israel, or attack the country’s embassies located in Arab countries.  Khamenei has reportedly been “weighing the political risk” of a direct attack, as Israel could intercept its missiles and then retaliate with strikes on Iranian strategic infrastructure.

In a speech Wednesday, Khamenei promised that “Israel would be punished.”

IRGC-associated social media accounts have reportedly posted videos showing simulated missile attacks on Israel’s Haifa airport in the north of the country, and its nuclear facility in Dimona which is in the south.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear that Israel will launch a counterattack in response to any potential missile strike.

“Whoever harms us, we will harm them,” Netanyahu said during a visit to Israel’s Tel Nof Air Base.
