Thanks for all the excellent content on the invasion and the consequences of it. I’m curious about the origins of funding these people get? It isn’t just IRC, it’s Catholic faux Charities and so many others who belly up to the taxpayer trough while simultaneously spitting on the very people who fund them. Most of these groups get funding from the U.S. government, but the contracts are worded (or were before faux-prezzie) to provide at least half their funding from donations. I see this as a clear violation of their contracts and the government’s obligation to its citizens.
Methinks this one goes back to the Bush years and the “faith-based” nonsense Bush peddled while insulting Americans’ work ethic and right to negotiate for fair wages in their country. What worries me is what will happen the day after the whole house of monetary cards collapses. These invaders aren’t here to work or assimilate and haven’t come for anything but an opportunity to pillage. Believe me. There’s going to be hell to pay and it won’t resemble anything like the interest rates we’re paying now.
I so miss O’Keefe’s guerrilla reporting. What happened to him was criminal.
