Catholic Charities in any city or diocese is registered as a tax-exempt organization. It is fundamentally immoral to take from those who pay taxes, are mandated (on pain of seizure, loss of property and imprisonment) without being subject to the same mandates. It is beyond time to strip such secular NGOs of their tax-exempt status and force them to draw distinctions between religious and secular activities, even business activities. Whatever else Catholic Charities does, it is engaged in business and as such must be subject as other businesses are, to tax payment.

The mission of the Catholic Church is an evangelical one. It exists to convert non-believers and spread the Gospel. In this respect, it has failed totally, and I would state it has achieved the opposite: demoralized believers, stomped on true faith in Christ Jesus, and alienated would-be adherents.

  4. Avatar for Alecto Alecto says:

Priests cannot bless something that does not exist in the Catholic church. There is no such thing as a same-sex “marriage” in Catholicism, nor can two people of the same sex be married in the eyes of God, as it is grave sin to engage in homosexual sex. There are no “unions” to be blessed and this pope, if one wants to believe he is legitimate in some way, has no authority to bless sin or those who are not repentant for their sins. I believe he is communist plant, there to destroy the Church, not lead it. He sows division, hatred of God and God’s rules, lack of faith. Therefore, he is an apostate.

But, let us examine another religion and its turn towards same-sex nonsense. What is really disturbing is the history of Jews in this country supporting homosexual unions aggressively. I will never forget that 3 Jews: Cliff Asness, Paul Singer and Daniel Loeb, bribed enough Ratpublicans in the New York state legislature to flip that state and led to aggressive push resulting in the Obergefell decision written by faux-Catholic Kennedy. What many people label “anti-semitism” is actually pointing out that Jews, and especially wealthy Jews, betray their own beliefs, but raise the victim flag when ordinary people notice their hypocrisy and destruction.
