In an eye-opening interview with Tucker Carlson posted on X Monday night, Democratic candidate for president Robert F. Kennedy Jr. explained the real purpose of gain-of-function research, how former NIAID director Anthony Fauci got involved with the risky experiments, and why Fauci became the highest-paid official in the U.S. government.
“We have biolabs in Ukraine because we’re developing bioweapons,” Kennedy told Carlson. “And those bioweapons are using all kinds of new synthetic biology, and CRISPR technology, and genetic engineering techniques that were not available to the previous generation and they can make frightening, frightening stuff.”
CRISPR is a potentially world-changing technology that is used to edit genes.
RFK Jr. explained that the Pentagon began pouring money into bioweapons research in 2001, but officials were nervous that the U.S. could be in violation of the Geneva Conventions, so they transferred the authority for bioweapons research development to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) headed by Dr. Fauci.
“And that’s why he was the highest paid official in the American government,” said Kennedy, who detailed Fauci’s decades of malfeasance in his best seller, the Real Anthony Fauci.
While Fauci and other public health officials have defended gain-of-function research as a necessary tool to get ahead of new viruses, RFK Jr. claimed that the risky experiments are primarily used in producing bioweapons.
“When you do bioweapon development, every bioweapon needs a vaccine. The developments are side by side,” he explained. “Because in 100 percent of the cases, when you deploy a bioweapon, there’s blowback. Your side also gets it.”
He explained that new vaccines are created “for your team” before you deploy the bioweapon.
Kennedy told Carlson that the bioweapons and the vaccines are developed through gain-of-function experiments “where you take an infectious microbe and you amplify its infectivity, where you make it jump species.”
And then you make it immune to antibiotics, to therapeutic drugs and other therapies so its actually the inverse of medicine.
For 2,800 years since Hypocrites, doctors have been trying to figure out how to make microbes less infectious and less deadly and develop antibiotics and therapeutics to do that.
Kennedy lamented that there are about 36,000 “life scientists who are actually death scientists who are now employed full time in developing microbes that can be used to kill people.”
He noted that Fauci built labs all over the country and “we don’t even know how many there are.”
Kennedy told Carlson that after three “high profile” lab leaks from three different bio labs in 2014, 300 scientists wrote to then-president Obama and urged him to put a moratorium on Fauci’s gain-of-function experiments.
According to Kennedy, the scientists told Obama that he needed to “shut down Anthony Fauci” before he creates a microbe that causes a global pandemic.
“So Obama signed a moratorium that shut down the 18 worst of Fauci’s experiments,” he explained, adding that most of them were taking place in Ralph Baric’s labs in North Carolina.
“Instead of obeying that law, Anthony Fauci shifted a lot of his operations offshore,” RFK Jr. said. Most of the risky research, he noted, ended up at the Wuhan Lab, which is run by the Chinese Liberation Army, and in Ukraine.
Kennedy noted that most of the operations were funded by the Department of Defense and USAID, which he called a “CIA cutout.”
