Trump Says ‘These Are Dark Times For our Nation’ as FBI Raids Mar-a-Lago

The FBI on Monday conducted an unannounced raid of Mar-a-Lago, former President Donald Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Florida.

“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump wrote in a press release. The former president did not say why FBI agents were conducting the search warrant, but noted that they even broke into his safe.

Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate. It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections. Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before. They even broke into my safe! What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democrat National Committee? Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th President of the United States.

The political persecution of President Donald J. Trump has been going on for years, with the now fully debunked Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, and so much more, it just never ends. It is political targeting at the highest level!

Hillary Clinton was allowed to delete and acid wash 33,000 E-mails AFTER they were subpoenaed by Congress. Absolutely nothing has happened to hold her accountable. She even took antique furniture, and other items from the White House.

I stood up to America’s bureaucratic corruption, I restored power to the people, and truly delivered for our Country, like we have never seen before. The establishment hated it. Now, as they watch my endorsed candidates win big victories, and see my dominance in all polls, they are trying to stop me, and the Republican Party, once more. The lawlessness, political persecution, and Witch Hunt must be exposed and stopped.

Constitutional Lawyer Alan Dershowitz explained the gravity of the situation on Newsmax, as news of the raid broke. “The law is clear, you don’t engage in a raid unless you’ve exhausted all the other remedies,” he said. “Raids are a last resort.”

The New York Times reported that the raid appeared to be focused on White House documents he had brought with him to Mar-a-Lago when he left office.

Those boxes contained many pages of classified documents, according to a person familiar with their contents.
Mr. Trump delayed returning 15 boxes of material requested by officials with the National Archives for many months, only doing so when there became a threat of action being taken to retrieve them.

In February, Trump said that they media’s portrayal of his relationship with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) NARA was “Fake News.”

“It was exactly the opposite! It was a great honor to work with NARA to help formally preserve the Trump Legacy,” Trump said in a press release on Feb, 10, 2022.

Following collaborative and respectful discussions, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) openly and willingly arranged with President Trump for the transport of boxes that contained letters, records, newspapers, magazines, and various articles. Some of this information will someday be displayed in the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library for the public to view my Administration’s incredible accomplishments for the American People.

The former president said the papers were handed over “easily and without conflict and on a very friendly basis,” adding that he considered the matter to be “routine” and “no big deal.”

In actuality, I have been told I was under no obligation to give this material based on various legal rulings that have been made over the years. Crooked Hillary Clinton, as an example, deleted and acid washed 32,000 emails and never gave that to the government. Then, they took large amounts of furniture out of the White House. And Bill Clinton kept numerous audio recordings that the archives wanted, but were unsuccessful at getting after going to court. We won’t even mention what is going on with the White House in the current, or various past administrations.

The search took place on Monday morning, a person familiar with the raid told the NYT. Agents were reportedly looking for any remaining records that may have remained at Trump’s residence.
