On Wednesday, Joe Biden announced that his Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will begin taking steps to expand access to so-called “gender-affirming” treatment for children who believe they are “transgender.”
According to Politico, Biden will sign an executive order instructing federal agencies and programs to ban conversion therapy, a treatment that has been proven to sometimes convince people that they are not really homosexual, and will also begin a propaganda campaign to publicly discredit such practices. In addition, the order will demand that HHS take “steps to address the barriers and exclusionary policies” of states that are cracking down on the abusive practices of pro-transgender surgeries and other procedures.
“I have no room in my heart for hatred and I have no time for intolerance, but we don’t live in a world where everyone feels that way, and this administration understands that more action is needed,” said HHS Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Richard Levine, a man who believes he is a woman. “Today’s executive order continues the Biden Administration’s work against prejudice and makes it easier for people living in this country to live their lives openly and freely without fear of harassment, scorn or attack.”
The executive order comes after multiple Republican-led states have passed laws cracking down on transgenderism, including outlawing surgical procedures and hormonal treatments that attempt to stunt childrens’ puberty and mutilate their genitals in order to convince them that they are of the opposite gender. In Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) approved legislation to ban such treatments for minors. In Texas, Governor Greg Abbott (R-Texas) ordered the state’s Department of Family and Protective Services to look into parents and doctors who carry out such procedures and charge them with child abuse.
A White House official claimed that Biden plans to sign the executive order in the presence of numerous children from Texas and Florida, all of whom claim to be part of the “LGBTQ” community. One of the children in attendance organized a walkout at their school over Florida’s parental rights law, a bill that prohibited the teaching of sexually explicit material to children in the grades of kindergarten through 3rd grade, and has since been derogatorialy referred to by the Left as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
