DeSantis Vows to Send Illegals to Biden’s Home State of Delaware

On Wednesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) promised to enact a new policy that will see all illegal aliens in the state bussed up to Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware.

As reported by Fox News, DeSantis made the announcement shortly after signing the No Patients Left Behind Act into law. After signing the bill into law, he voiced his opposition to the Biden Administration’s plans to end Title 42, the highly successful Trump-era policy that largely shut down immigration into the country due to the health risk of so many illegals flooding into the country in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“What we’re doing in Florida is saying, ‘We’re not gonna let the recklessness of those policies impact our state,'” DeSantis said to those gathered for the signing. “If businesses or contractors are dumping people who are illegal into Florida from southern Texas, you know, we’re gonna go after their ability to do business in Florida.”

“If Biden is dumping people, which he has dumped people, they fly them in at two in the morning,” DeSantis explained. “They haven’t done it lately, but they did it many months ago. We now have money where we can reroute them to sanctuary states like Delaware — and we’re gonna do that — to make sure we’re keeping people safe here.”

DeSantis had previously threatened to redirect illegals to Biden’s home state back in November, after dozens of flights commissioned by the Biden Administration’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) flew illegals from border states such as Texas into states like Florida, as well as other key swing states throughout the country.

“If they’re going to come here, we’ll provide buses,” DeSantis said at the time. “I will send them to Delaware and do that. If he’s not going to support the border being secure, then he should be able to have everyone there.”

DeSantis’s comments come shortly after Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R-Texas) held a press conference on Wednesday announcing his intentions to implement new border security measures in his state, including more barbed-wire fencing along the border and shipping new illegals up to Washington, D.C.

“We are sending them to the United States Capitol where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border,” Abbott said during the press conference.
