The Death of Dignity

At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, the most shameless, undignified people ever to exist on planet Earth have overrun America’s influential institutions, only to drive them into the ground with reckless abandon.

Take MSNBC’s Joy Reid, for example. She’s a wholly unremarkable person whose only skill is turning every topic on her “news” show into a racial issue.

This week, she informed us that America’s fixation on the case of Gabby Petito, a missing Florida woman, is a case of “Missing White Woman Syndrome,” a disease not recognized by any scientific publication. If MSNBC hired Al Sharpton (another person who turned his adroit race-baiting into a career) to replace Joy Reid, he could not hold a candle to her relentless, nightly masterclass in ginning up racial hatred.

The most honest work Joy Reid has ever published was her early 2000s “Reid Report” blog, where she constantly displayed her hatred for the gay community. When those posts resurfaced in 2018, she denied writing them—which was a lie_and led the FBI on a witch hunt to investigate potential “hacking” of her online material. Later, she copped to her lie and admitted that she wrote the posts, but maintained that, “I genuinely do not believe that I wrote those hateful things, because they are completely alien to me,” which, of course, was another lie. She knows exactly when, how, and why she wrote those posts, and the whole “I’m a changed woman now” bit rang completely hollow.

After all of that, MSNBC promoted her from hosting a weekend morning show to primetime. That’s American meritocracy at work.

General Mark Milley, the drunk-driving, Communist Chinese-sympathizing practitioner of critical race theory, who also as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, happens to be America’s most senior military official, recently burst onto the scene as another perfect example of America’s long-lost dignity.

The man is an utter buffoon.

When he’s not conspiring with our Communist enemies abroad, he spends his days conspiring with America’s domestic Communist enemies, implementing their playbook for “racial justice” in the military. In fact, he has spent more time teaching our troops to hate each other based on their immutable characteristics, particularly that of race, than he did planning a competent withdrawal from Afghanistan. At least the 13 service members who bravely sacrificed their lives defending the Kabul airport that Milley and company handed over to the Taliban before evacuating American citizens were properly trained on “white privilege” and the correct gender pronoun usage.

A dignified man would have taken responsibility for such a disaster, and immediately have gotten to work on righting the ship. But Milley is not a dignified man.

Remember when Congress was occupied by dignified and competent statesmen who cared about their constituents? Me neither.

I’d just as soon appoint the next 535 long-haul truckers rolling through a weigh station on I-95 in New Jersey to occupy that branch of government. That’s far more dignified than letting Boeing and Amazon purchase the Congress through lobbyists, PACs, and other such nonsense. At least the truckers know what it’s like to put in an honest day’s work.

And let’s not forget our non-meritocratic judicial branch, wherein federal judges are appointed by the president of the United States (presently an undignified, doddering old man who only gets out of bed for his daily scoop of chocolate-chocolate chip ice cream). Other than the fancy robes, there’s not a single shred of dignity among our esteemed interpreters of the law.

One of those judges is Rudolph Contreras of the Federal District Court for the District of Columbia, considered the nation’s second-highest court. Besides graduating from a high-brow law school, it’s unclear why Contreras was appointed to his current position.

He recently refused bail to a January 6 protestor accused of a minor assault, noting that the protester had committed the grave sin of leaving an angry voicemail for his congressman a couple of weeks before traveling to Washington, D.C..

He’s also the same judge who accepted General Michael Flynn’s guilty plea for lying to the FBI (another extremely dignified organization founded by a man who wore dresses and that, today, arrests grandmothers for trespassing) during the Russiagate investigation, which was in itself a total fabrication. It stemmed from the FBI’s illegal spying on Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, authorized by the mysterious FISA court over which Contreras happens to preside. Contreras later recused himself from further Russiagate cases, just before the public learned that he was close friends with FBI Agent Peter Strzok. You might recall that Strzok was one of the agents who applied for a FISA warrant to surveil the Trump campaign in the first place.

We’re far from the republic of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison, and we’re heading in the wrong direction. In fact, I’m certain that as you’re reading this, some purple-haired Communist professor at Worthless Degree University is lecturing about the racism of America’s founders, and plotting the demise of their remaining statues and monuments.

In fact, if Washington could have foreseen that this once-dignified republic would one day be transformed into a Walmart parking lot with nukes at the hands of shameless hucksters and swine, he probably would have surrendered to King George and begged for mercy.
