Biden HHS to Include ‘Sexual Orientation’ and ‘Gender Identity’ Under its Definition of Sex and Gender

The Biden Administration’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced on Monday that it would be expanding its definition of sex and gender to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity,” defying all scientific and biological knowledge, as reported by Breitbart.

With this announcement, the Biden Administration reverses yet another popular policy from the presidency of Donald Trump, which clearly and correctly defined sex and gender as between only two choices: Male and female. HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra claimed in a statement that “fear of discrimination can lead individuals to forgo care, which can have serious negative health consequences. It is the position of the Department of Health and Human Services that everyone, including LGBTQ people, should be able to access health care, free from discrimination or interference, period.”

Assistant Secretary Richard Levine, a “transgender” man who thinks he is a woman, issued a similar statement declaring that “the mission of our Department is to enhance the health and well-being of all Americans, no matter their gender identity or sexual orientation…No one should be discriminated against when seeking medical services because of who they are.”

As a result, HHS’s Office of Civil Rights (OCR) will handle any future alleged instances of “discrimination” under an interpretation of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which supposedly includes sexual orientation and gender identity as reasons for which one cannot be denied a job or service. The decision also eliminates religious conscience exemptions for doctors and other medical professionals who do not wish to provide such unscientific treatment as “gender reassignment” surgeries, thus forcing them to comply with such procedures.
