Inciting a Crisis Is the Democrats’ Plan for Immigration

Many Americans—due in large part to a dishonest media that amplifies the leftist narrative—have come to believe there is an uncontrollable crisis at the Southern U.S. border. Let’s get two things straight: there is a crisis, but it’s not out of our control. What’s happening is all part of the plan for Democrats whose open border and sanctuary policies thrive in chaos.

The desire for a massive surge in illegal border crossings was telegraphed during President Donald Trump’s administration. States like California declared themselves sanctuaries for illegal immigrants, including for those who went on to commit additional crimes after illegally crossing the border. These states also waged legal challenges against Trump Administration policies that discouraged immigrants from trying to skip the line.

More recently, California has encouraged illegal crossings through the promise of guaranteed taxpayer-funded health care and in-person learning for children who were smuggled across the border—all while American children in those same communities largely remain locked out of the classrooms.

Now, with Democrats in control of the White House and Congress, they want to take the policies that have devastated states like California and apply them across the nation. The playbook should surprise no one, it’s the same strategy they used to leverage the COVID-19 crisis and change our voting laws in battleground states last year.

Democrats want you to believe that the humanitarian crisis—where some immigration facilities are over capacity tenfold—can only be solved by the U.S. government granting entry and housing to tens of thousands of people who are circumventing America’s legal immigration process.

The reality is this crisis was fostered by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris laying out a welcome mat.

They carved out an exception in the law, which forces our border patrol to take in and house minors being smuggled across the border. It has created a perverse incentive for families to hand over thousands of dollars to cartels in order to transport their children into American custody. Their hope? Citizenship, through the Democrats’ march towards universal amnesty, for their children and their families.

Sadly, the abuse many of these children are suffering in order to make the journey is disgusting. As a parent, I am devastated to hear the stories of young children who are taken into custody after being sexually assaulted by multiple men. With more than 100,000 unaccompanied minors expected to be exposed to the same abuse during their journeys across the border in the coming months, shame on the Biden-Harris Administration for not doing more.

This incited humanitarian crisis, however, was exactly and always the goal for Democrats. Instead of securing the border, finishing President Trump’s wall, and eliminating the loopholes that have fueled the current surge, Biden and Harris are taking tens of millions of dollars out of the pockets of American taxpayers to pay for hotel rooms for illegal immigrants. All the while we have homeless veterans across this country going without shelter or food. It’s absurd and unacceptable.

Instead of stopping the surge, Democrats are making it more appealing to illegally cross our border, break the law, and skip the line. If you didn’t believe this is all part of their plan before, think again.

But don’t call it a “surge,” because according to Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), that’s racist. See, the Democrats want to create a crisis, push a radical solution, and, of course, call you a racist if you disagree. This is Leftism 101 and we shouldn’t stand for it.

We must restore the America First agenda and make America great again, but it starts at the ballot box.
