What we are learning from all the recently identified plagiarists is that “everybody’s doing it” and has probably been doing it for a long time.
And yet there is hope… The Board of Governors of University of Florida fired all DEI staff and closed the Office of the Chief Diversity Officer, redirecting those funds to more productive and effective uses. I’m only sorry the inhabitants of that department were allowed to apply for other jobs, but that’s probably owing to mandates beyond their control.
