Morning Greatness: Pompeo, Intel Community Think Chinese Virus Came from Lab

Good Monday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president has no public events scheduled.

Pompeo says “enormous” evidence Chinese virus came from lab not wet market

During one of the Sunday snuff shows, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced there is “enormous” evidence that the Chinese virus came from a lab.

“There’s enormous evidence that that’s where this began. We’ve said from the beginning that this was a virus that originated in Wuhan, China. We took a lot of grief for that from the outset. But I think the whole world can see now,” he said on ABC News’ “This Week” on Sunday.

“Remember, China has a history of infecting the world, and they have a history of running substandard laboratories. These are not the first times that we’ve had a world exposed to viruses as a result of failures in a Chinese lab.”

“China behaved like authoritarian regimes do, attempted to conceal and hide and confuse. It employed the World Health Organization as a tool to do the same. These are the kind of things that have now presented this enormous crisis, an enormous loss of life and tremendous economic cost, all across the globe,” Pompeo said.

Pompeo’s remarks follow a report that said that “the majority view among the U.S. intelligence community agencies is that COVID-19 is natural and accidentally leaked out of a laboratory in Wuhan, China, a senior intelligence official said.

Fox News reporter John Roberts reported on Saturday that “Sources say not all 17 intelligence agencies agree that the lab was the source of the virus because there is not yet a definitive ‘smoking gun’. But confidence is high among 70-75% of the agencies,” Roberts added.

President Trump also confirmed evidence that the virus was not transmitted at the wet market via a bat.

“Have you seen anything at this point that gives you a high degree of confidence that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was the origin of the virus?” Roberts asked Trump Thursday.

“Yes, I have,” Trump answered. “And I think the World Health Organization should be ashamed of themselves because they’re like the public relations agency for China.”

Media continues to gently cover Biden harassment claim

On Sunday DNC chair Tom Perez dismissed Tara Reid’s claim that former VP and current Democrat candidate for president sexually harassed her when he was a senator. “When you ask the University of Delaware to take a look at something, you’re asking them to look for something that doesn’t exist, and the fact of the matter is that the president of the United States, the former president Barack Obama, conducted an exhaustive search,” Perez said Sunday on ABC’s This Week. “Joe Biden has been an open book.”

Well it doesn’t exist anymore because the Biden people already paid a visit to the Biden archives. And it’s hard to believe that Biden was vetted because why would would they bother? It’s not like the media covers the Democrats the way they cover a Republican. They will just refuse to acknowledge any information that threatens the candidacy of a Democrat. Don’t believe me?

The Associated Press reported on Saturday it interviewed Tara Reade Friday about her allegations that former Vice President and presumptive 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden sexually assaulted her in the 1990s when she was an aide in his Senate office but buried that the outlet failed to report on its interviews with Reade in 2019, when she first made public her dealings with Biden.

“The AP declined to publish details of the 2019 interviews at the time because reporters were unable to corroborate her allegations, and aspects of her story contradicted other reporting,” the report said.

If you are curious what was in the interview, well, I have some bad news for you.The interview is gone, “in keeping with the reporter’s standard practice for disposing of old interviews.” But that didn’t stop the AP from lying.

AP has since amended their reporting to say, “while Reade says she did not specifically use the words ‘sexual harassment’ in the complaint, she says the behavior she was describing amounts to sexual harassment.”

“I filed a sexual harassment complaint form,” she told the DCNF, describing how she explained details of the alleged sexual harassment in the complaint. “I filed it.”

Picky, picky.

So no, Joe Biden was never vetted. He isn’t getting the Kavanaugh treatment, where a uncorroborated accuser was turned into a superstar and the nominee Kavanaugh was presumed guilty until he proved himself innocent. Kavanaugh’s accuser had not one single shred of evidence and couldn’t even prove she met or knew Kavanaugh. She couldn’t provide any details about the alleged incident, her best friend who was allegedly present for the attack denied remembering it and there was no history of Kavanaugh harassing women. And yet…she was given the benefit of the doubt and showcased like an Olympic medal. The Biden situation is a horse of a different color. All of the sudden the Democrats are talking about “due process” and that all women should be allowed to make their claims but don’t have to be believed. That’s a 180 change from the Kavanaugh “rules.” The Democrats don’t really care about harassment and rape, they look the other way when it suits them just as they did with Harvey Weinstein. Their rhetoric is just that, political rhetoric and nothing more.

Meanwhile, at least six people have corroborated Tara Reid’s allegations. Reade’s mother, brother, former neighbor, former coworker and at least of her two friends have corroborated details of her story,” writes the Daily Caller.

I don’t know if what Reid is saying is true but she certainly deserves to be treated the same way the Kavanaugh “accuser” was.

George W. Bush calls for virus unity, not concerned with unity during impeachment

Yeah, I think we know what’s going on here. W. is getting the hero’s edit from the CNN clown posse about a “heartfelt” video he released calling for unity in the face of the Chinese virus. CNN describes “a somber-voiced Bush expressed gratitude to the nation’s medical professionals, called on Americans to protect their neighbors by keeping their distance from them and urged us to show empathy and kindness to all. ‘Let us remember how small our differences are in the face of this shared threat,’ he said. ‘We are not partisan combatants. We are human beings, equally vulnerable and equally wonderful in the sight of God.'”

Oh shut up. Trump responded to Bush’s selective generosity:

I didn’t watch it.
