In a CNN segment that aired Saturday, host Don Lemon and two guests all took turns making numerous jokes and racist stereotypes about President Donald Trump’s supporters, including calling them dumb and uneducated, as the Daily Caller reports.
Lemon was joined by anti-Trump Republican Rick Wilson and New York Times writer Wajahat Ali. Wilson started off by describing President Trump’s voters as “the credulous boomer rube demo,” before imitating a Southern accent as he began mocking these voters by saying that they believe “Donald Trump’s the smart one, and ya’ll elitists are dumb.”
Ali added “You elitists, with your geography and your maps and your spelling,” to which Wilson added “your math and your readin’.” Lemon laughed nearly nonstop during the entire exchange between the two, before Ali eventually offered a half-hearted “apology.” Lemon ended the exchange by saying “that was a good one, I needed that.”
This is one of the most revolting things I’ve ever seen on CNN, and that’s saying a lot.
