Morning Greatness: President Trump Cancels Iran Terror Mastermind

Good Friday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

Trump snuffs out Iran’s terror honcho

I must admit that I process information with a consideration to how it’s going to freak out the media and the Left so the news that Trump ordered our forces to drone this piece of Iranian terror trash to death was a gift beyond measure. It was a glorious development and I knew the coming level of derangement would be unprecedented: Trump is forcing his enemies to defend Iran and its terror honcho who is responsible for killing more than 600 Americans and countless others around the world.

Here’s the scoop:

An official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told The Associated Press that Muhandis had arrived to the airport in a convoy to receive Soleimani whose plane had arrived from either Lebanon or Syria. The airstrike occurred as soon as he descended from the plane to be greeted by Muhandis and his companions, killing them all.

Buh-bye. The Democrats have executed what I call the “BUT Maneuver” in response to the administration’s killing of  Soleimani. The  “BUT Maneuver” goes a little like this:

“Yes, Suleimani orchestrated the attack on our embassy, plotted to blow up a Washington DC restaurant to kill the Saudi ambassador, ran numerous proxy wars across the Middle East killing thousands or tens of thousands of people BUT BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH.”

Elizabeth Warren: Soleimani was a murderer, responsible for the deaths of thousands, including hundreds of Americans. But this reckless move escalates the situation with Iran and increases the likelihood of more deaths and new Middle East conflict. Our priority must be to avoid another costly war.

Richard Haas, President of the Council of Foreign Relations: If US did have intell indicating Suleimani was planning imminent attacks on US personnel, preemptive action would have have been justifiable. But that is not the same as smart. It would have been preferable to try to deter Iran from going ahead given what we are now in for.

Ben Rhodes, Obama Admin alum and Iran sympathizer: Agree – no question that Soleimani has a lot of blood on his hands. But this is a really frightening moment. Iran will respond and likely in various places. Thinking of all US personnel in the region right now.

And then there is this cry for help:

But I think my favorite one of all is this:

We had the opportunity to kill the mastermind of decades-long Middle East terrorism and proxy wars, the man who orchestrated the attack on our embassy last week and and so much more, why wouldn’t we take him out when we had an opportunity? How do these people justify letting Sulemaini continue his trail of blood and mayhem?

The Pentagon said forces moved to take out the Quds leader because he was “actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region.” Seems justified to me.
