11,000 Climate Scientists Claim There is ‘Untold Suffering’ due to Climate Change

Another group of alleged scientists banded together to issue a joint statement claiming that global warming is real, and will cause “untold suffering” if immediate action is not taken, CNN reports.

The group of about 11,000 scientists claimed, without evidence, that “posterity will remember [us] badly for dismissing climate change as a serious threat to civilization.” They also claimed that “global warming” is directly tied to “excessive consumption of the wealthy lifestyle.”

They also included a list of proposals that allegedly need to be implemented in order to combat “climate change,” including the elimination of fossil fuels, eating less meat, and “stabilizing population growth.”

Their rhetoric mirrors that of climate activists who have stepped up their messaging in recent months, from the Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg to Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), who has baselessly claimed that the world has only about 12 years left to live due to global warming.

However, any such fears of a “climate emergency” have been debunked, including most recently by a group of 500 scientists who confirmed in a letter to the United Nations that there is no such emergency. The radical rhetoric of such activists as Thunberg and Ocasio-Cortez has been widely mocked, including by President Donald Trump.
