AZ Schools Superintendent Vows to Defend State’s ‘Save Women’s Sports Act’ All the Way to SCOTUS

Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne (R) vowed to protect the state’s law prohibiting boys from competing in girls sports — taking the case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, if necessary.

His comments came during an episode of the Grand Canyon Times Podcast:

“The papers have been full of stories about girls who work hard on their sports, they practice all day long, they have dreams of making varsity or maybe getting a college scholarship, maybe the Olympics,” Horne told host Leyla Gulen on the Grand Canyon Times Podcast. “And then they have to compete against a biological male. Their dreams are shattered, they’re devastated.”

“Sometimes I wonder why more people don’t have sympathy for them, they seem to be the lost people in this equation.” Horne said. “I will take the case to the US Supreme Court if I have to. If I get it to the US Supreme Court I feel very confident I’ll win there.”

The “Save Women’s Sports Act,” signed by then-Gov. Doug Ducey (R) in March 2022, prohibits biological males from competing in girls’ sports at the K-12 and collegiate levels.

A federal lawsuit challenging the law was filed in April 2023. Attorney General Kris Mayes (D) is refusing to defend the state law in court.

Horne announced in April that his office would hire his own legal team to defend the law.

Far too little emphasis was placed on the damage associated with an education system that became centralized in 1979. The Department of Ed was the germinal seed that created the Great Sequoia. It was the plant that became no different than the one in “The Little Shop of Horrors”, in terms of damage… to norms, and tried and true values (culture), that worked to keep society, productive, civil and happy.

There would be no men in female sports, no open southern border, no corrupt Intel agencies and no Marxist and insane Administration, and their associated executive bureaucracies and agencies, without an education process designed to fundamentally change the culture. The governments, both federal, state and local are populated by radicals because they have been, first, indoctrinated by radicals in an education system which grew powerful and larger than any individual State sovereignty is able to limit and control. The Hydra, in Washington DC, should be beheaded to prevent its many tentacles from continuing to invade, and control, every state, city and local school district. As Roe v Wade was overturned so must the Department of Education be destroyed and most of its unnecessary employees fired and retired. Before there was any semblance of a State public education system communities educated children pre 1800 so that 95% of the male population was literate. Today, it is about 72% and only to a sixth grade level. A kid could read Thomas Paine’s, “Common Sense” and still go fishing, afterward in the same afternoon, and never get into trouble.

As much as I see the problem, I don’t disparage all educators and teachers but the system, which employees them, is what has betrayed America. Like Germany, without the educators that taught and reinforced the socialist, fascist, philosophy, which ultimately became cultural, to create a NAZI government, it had to be, first, taught; there would have been no World War II otherwise. Radical Islam is no different. Palestinians were first educated, by educators, to be radicalized so as to think and act the way they do.
