Woodson: ‘The First Thing We Need to Do Is to Get Rid of White Guilt’

Civil rights activist Bob Woodson said performing a “racial exorcism” on “white guilt” is a necessary first step to reforming schools in urban centers.

“The first thing we need to do is get rid of white guilt,” Woodson told host Dan Proft on the “Counterculture” podcast. “I have become a self-certified racial exorcist.”

“Demons be gone,” said Woodson. “We forgive you for slavery or Jim Crow, now get over it, and stop writing checks to Black Lives Matter.”

This full interview is available on Apple Podcasts, RumbleYouTube, and Spotify.

Woodson is the president of the Woodson Center, a non-profit research and demonstration organization focused on revitalizing low-income communities. In February 2020, Woodson created the 1776 Unites campaign in response to the New York Times’ “The 1619 Project.”

Proft launched “Counterculture” — American Greatness’ newest podcast — in September 2023. He also is the co-host of “Chicago’s Morning Answer” weekday mornings from 5-9 a.m. on AM 560 Chicago. A former Republican candidate for Illinois Governor, Proft attended Northwestern University and received his J.D. from Loyola University-Chicago.
