The Democratic Party Is Naked and Afraid

“Defunding the police” has never been popular with the American people. In fact, a poll taken in 2020 showed that only 24 percent to 28 percent of Americans supported the movement. Despite this, Democrats like Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) were vocal proponents of this unpopular movement, which even a majority of African-Americans oppose.

Still, the radical views of Ocasio-Cortez and Omar have come to define the Democratic Party more and more. As much as we conservatives justifiably lament the state of the Republican Party—which once again is engaged in a war between the Republicans in name only (RINOs) and the conservatives—the Democratic Party is also presently at war with itself.

This political infighting is nothing new in the Republican Party; we conservatives have been at war with the RINOs for decades. The RINOs hated Reagan and successfully reclaimed the party after Reagan’s second term; they likewise hated Trump and are predictably engaged in another effort to take over the party today.

But this infighting is new for the Democratic Party, which has habitually marched lockstep together in its efforts to dismantle America and our Constitution, and fundamentally transform the way “we the people” view our relationship with our government—from citizen-master to citizen-slave.

After the 2020 election, Democrats were banking on Kamala Harris providing the tie-breaking vote in the 50-50 split Senate to ram through their radical agenda, which would fulfill Barack Obama’s promise to fundamentally transform America and ensure that the United States passed the point of no return—establishing a new America that rejects unalienable rights and supplants this revolutionary ideal with the regressive belief that our rights come from the government.

As a surprise to Democrats, this outcome has been derailed and thwarted by two of their own—Senators Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.)—who refuse to vote to abolish the filibuster and allow the Democrats to transform the country with a simple majority vote. The Democratic Party has become so radical even Manchin and Sinema have found cause to object.

The Democrats’ aggressive push to move quickly reveals that they are neither confident nor secure. In fact, the Democratic Party is naked and afraid.

The writing was on the wall as early asNovember 6, 2020. Democratic Representative Abigail Spanberger, who barely won her seat in Virginia, stated on a conference call with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) that “The number one concern that people brought to me in my race that I barely re-won was defunding the police.”

As violence in Democrat-run cities throughout the country reaches unprecedented levels in American history, the indisputable Democrat-led calls to “defund the police” still haunt them.

While the “defund the police” movement is unpopular with the American people, so too are other Democratic positions and policies. A recent Rasmussen poll found that “a majority of Americans are against women having to compete against biological men in athletics.” Despite this, the Democratic Party continues to advocate for this unpopular policy.

In that same Democratic caucus conference call Representative Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.) stated, “we need to not ever use the word socialist or socialism ever again.”

I agree, because the Democratic Party isn’t a socialist party today, but is more accurately defined by Marxism and totalitarianism.

But Spanberger’s remark reinforces what I believe—America is still not a majority socialist, Marxist, or communist country. America is still mostly conservative—the so-called “silent majority.” This silent majority is waking up, as evidenced by the increasing pushback against critical race theory, for example.

I’m no Pollyanna and I’m not arguing that everything is sunshine and rainbows—it’s not. What I am saying is that the Democratic Party is in trouble. They know they’re in trouble, and they are behaving more and more desperate, erratic, and irrational.

This is why Democrats continue to promote the lie that white supremacy is the greatest threat to America. Their only “evidence” they can marshal in support of this claim is the so-called January 6 “insurrection,” in which only one person died of unnatural causes—Ashli Babbitt, who was unarmed and shot dead by a Capitol police officer.

Seventeen individuals died in the protests that followed the immediate aftermath of the George Floyd death—many of them minorities. BLM, Antifa, and the Democratic Party are far more dangerous than any alleged white supremacist.

If the 2022 midterms were held tomorrow, the Republican Party—even in its ongoing and imperfect state—would probably reclaim majorities in both the Senate and House. The Democrats know this. Their future political lives were dependent upon the passage of the H.R. 1, now called S. 1.—the “For the People Act”—which would federalize elections, ending the concept of free and fair elections in America and effectively ensuring Democratic victories in perpetuity.

As the Democratic Party grows more desperate and their inevitable defeat becomes more certain, so too do they become more unhinged from morality and their lies become more ridiculous and disgraceful.

This is why they now seek to place the “defund the police” movement at the feet of the Republican Party—to rewrite history and absolve themselves from their own insane and unpopular position.

The Democratic Party is naked, afraid, and desperate. Their backs are against the wall and they will do anything to save their political futures—including illegally surveilling the likes of Tucker Carlson and anyone else who stands in their way. Things undoubtedly will get worse before they get better.

Ronald Reagan stated, “Freedom is a fragile thing and it’s never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by way of inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. And those in world history who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.”

The time has come to make our stand. I’m all in.
