Morning Greatness: Feds Vet National Guard over ‘Insider Attack’ Concerns

Good Monday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • President Trump will work from early in the morning until late in the evening. He will make many calls and have many meetings.

Two minutes of hate:

Politico wants you to know “the FBI is investigating evidence that a woman who entered the Capitol on Jan. 6 stole a laptop or hard drive from Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office and intended to sell it to Russians.” This sounds serious, let’s dig a little deeper. The claim originated from an FBI affidavit describing the criminal case filed against the suspect, who has yet to be apprehended. Politico reports they were unable to contact a Pelosi aide and oh, by the way, “it was not clear if a laptop or hard drive was actually stolen.” Wait, what? What is the point of this article?

It gets better. The feds got their information after “a witness who spoke to authorities claimed to have seen a video of Williams ‘taking a laptop computer or hard drive from Speaker Pelosi’s office.’ ‘[Witness 1] stated that WILLIAMS intended to send the computer device to a friend in Russia, who then planned to sell the device to SVR, Russia’s foreign intelligence service,’ the agent noted. ‘According to [Witness 1], the transfer of the computer device to Russia fell through for unknown reasons and WILLIAMS still has the computer device or destroyed it.'”

You’ve got to be kidding me. Certainly the feds could confirm with Pelosi’s office whether or not a laptop or hard drive was stolen. And how would the person who “watched a video” know the thief was going to sell the stolen item to the RUSSIANS? Who is this witness? Politico tells us  “that witness is described as a former romantic partner of the suspect.” No ulterior motive here, eh? What a ridiculous story but this is just one of thousands of pieces of propaganda “news” designed to inflame readers about the Capitol Hill protest and criminalize participants who went to Washington D.C. for no other reason than to protest vote fraud. Stay vigilant, this kind of crap is everywhere.

After last week's riots at the U.S. Capitol Building, the FBI has warned of additional threats in the nation's capital and in all 50 states. According to reports, as many as 25,000 National Guard soldiers will be guarding the city as preparations are made for the inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th U.S. President.
