Donald Trump leads by 4-points in North Carolina according to a new poll conducted by InsiderAdvantage for the Center for American Greatness. The poll of 450 likely voters was conducted October 30-31 by mixed IVR and live cell phone. The margin of error is plus or minus 4.6 points.
Trump: 48%
Biden: 44%
Jorgensen: 2%
Undecided: 6%
Matt Towery of InsiderAdvantage said the move towards Trump is the result of several factors: “Shift of younger voters towards Trump; Trump is gaining senior voters back into his corner; Very little female gender gap as contests reaches last days; African American vote (at 24% for Trump) is a first for this pollster of a Republican in any major race at this stage of an election. Also, the subset sample has a larger margin of error but African American VAP is only 22% (less than Georgia for example) so adjustments downward would not impact the overall numbers by much. This may be part of a trend we are seeing of African American men breaking increasingly for Trump in other states.”
