Morning Greatness: Media Prints Useful Leaks from Clandestine ‘Impeachment’ Inquiry Testimony

Good Tuesday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president receives his intelligence briefing
  • President Trump has lunch with the Vice President
  • The president welcomes the 2019 Stanley Cup Champions, the St. Louis Blues

The Democrat candidates are holding an official drum circle tonight if that’s your kink.

This Week in “Impeachment”

It’s amazing how elected officials can’t manage to get their act together to legislate on issues of national concern but can activate and pounce into action post haste on their fake impeachment project.  The docket is tight this week. Three State Department officials are scheduled for depositions and the Democrat-run clown committees of Foreign Affairs, Intelligence and Oversight and Reform set several deadlines for subpoenas this week for docs from Giuliani, the Pentagon and the White House Office of Management and Budget.

Secret impeachment testimony Adam Schiff wants you to know

While the Democrats’ secret impeachment tribunals are shrouded in darkness, some information manages to leak out to lefty conduits. Imagine that. Former NSC aide Fiona Hill told her inquisitors that “The effort to pressure Ukraine for political help provoked a heated confrontation inside the White House last summer that so alarmed John R. Bolton, then the national security adviser, that he told an aide to alert White House lawyers,” the New York Times (LOL) is reporting.

“Three people who heard the testimony” according to the Times leaked, “Mr. Bolton got into a tense exchange on July 10 with Gordon D. Sondland, the Trump donor turned ambassador to the European Union, who was working with Rudolph W. Giuliani, the president’s personal lawyer, to press Ukraine to investigate Democrats, according to three people who heard the testimony.”

“I am not part of whatever drug deal Sondland and Mulvaney are cooking up,” Mr. Bolton, a Yale-trained lawyer, told Ms. Hill to tell White House lawyers, according to two people at the deposition. (Another person in the room initially said Mr. Bolton referred to Mr. Giuliani and Mr. Mulvaney, but two others said he cited Mr. Sondland.) “Giuliani’s a hand grenade who’s going to blow everybody up,” Ms. Hill quoted Mr. Bolton as saying during an earlier conversation.

Over at Politico, the “impeachment” inquisitors want you to know, “President Donald Trump’s former top Russia aide told House impeachment investigators on Monday that she had at least two meetings with a National Security Council lawyer about Rudy Giuliani’s efforts to convince Ukrainian officials to investigate the president’s political rivals, according to a person who was in the room for the testimony.”

Politico also reported, entirely without irony, that “Democrats vehemently defended their secrecy of the evidence-gathering process, which has been taking place exclusively behind closed doors. Republicans, meanwhile, renewed their attacks over the impeachment procedures, accusing Democrats of keeping witness transcripts under lock and key and depriving the public of an opportunity to hear the evidence.” Secrecy: so important! Except for this stuff we just printed about what the witness said.

Hill testified for more than 10 hours for the House Intelligence, Foreign Affairs and Oversight committees.

Hunter, Hunter, Hunter!

ABC News is batting cleanup for former Veep Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign by airing infomercials interviews with embattled son Hunter.

The network said Hunter Biden will speak with “Good Morning America” anchor Amy Robach, underscoring that “no questions were off limits.”

“Tune in to ‘Good Morning America,’ ‘World News Tonight,’ ‘Nightline’ and ABC News Live and ABCNews.com starting Tuesday for more on Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine and China as well as his reaction to President Trump’s rally and tweets targeting him directly,” reads the network statement.

“No questions off limits.” Give me a minute to collect myself.

Hunter’s lawyer said in a statement: “Under a Biden Administration, Hunter will readily comply with any and all guidelines or standards a President Biden may issue to address purported conflicts of interest, or the appearance of such conflicts, including any restrictions related to overseas business interests,” the statement continued. “He will continue to keep his father personally uninvolved in his business affairs.”

That’s a little late, eh? I mean if he did nothing wrong when Biden was the veep, why put limits on what he can do when Biden is (pretendville) president?

On Monday, Hunter said that “he will resign from the board of a Chinese private equity firm called BHR Partners, but he’s still one of the two directors of the company that owns his 10% equity stake in the firm, business records show. The other director holds the role of supervisor at the Chinese firm.” But that’s not all. The Daily Caller is also reporting that “Hunter Biden did not state whether he and Schwerin, through their company Skaneateles, would divest the 10% equity stake in BHR.”

I wonder if ABC asked Hunter about this. I’m guessing no.
