Darren J. Beattie is a former speechwriter for President Donald J. Trump. He earned a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in political theory from Duke University for his doctoral thesis, "Martin Heidegger's Mathematical Dialectic: Uncovering the Structure of Modernity." He has taught political theory at Duke University, Humboldt University in Berlin, and Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany.
