Transwomen escape the progressive presumption of male predation

The UK Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the legal definition of “woman” is determined by biological sex. Though this is a major win for reality in the Western world, the debate over gender is far from over. The fact that a word as easy to define as “woman” is up for public debate shows the degree to which cultures across the West have strayed from truth and justice.

Because the attempt to normalize the ability of men to transform into women is a product of progressive ideologies, understanding the transgender debate requires addressing one of the most taboo topics in progressive culture: human nature and female predation.

Are truth and justice connected to human nature?

At the core of the transgender debate is a fundamental dispute over truth, justice, and human nature. Progressive ideologies view truth, justice, and human nature as malleable. Biological realities do not reveal fixed rules of nature that humanity should learn from. Instead, true justice allows individuals to shape, mold, and, ultimately, transcend human nature and biological limitations.

This, of course, gives individuals incredible power that was historically unavailable. Without modern technologies—hormone therapy, plastic surgery, gender reassignment procedures, etc.—transgenderism was not culturally viable. Cross-dressing was possible, but the ability to claim an actual, in fact, transition from male to female, one that should be codified into law, was incoherent.

Therefore, advanced technology that allows individuals to alter nature and biology is a practical prerequisite for cultural acceptance of transgenderism. Progressive gender ideologies are rooted philosophically in transhumanism because they rely on the belief that it is good for humans to use science and technology to alter human beings by allowing them to transcend the limitations of human nature.

Transwomen escape “toxic masculinity”

Progressive views regarding gender, victimization, and predation reward transgender women by allowing weak men to escape the presumption of predation that accompanies masculinity.

The Western world has moved from a view of men as protectors to predators. In progressive spaces, to be a man is to possess “toxicity,” which is synonymous with masculinity. The more a man presents as masculine, the more likely a progressive is to view him as a predator. This is maladaptive, not because masculinity cannot be expressed predatorily, but because this view assumes masculinity is inherently predatory.

In cultural spaces where masculinity is viewed as toxic, femininity is viewed as weak but morally pure. The MeToo movement exemplifies how progressives view women. The progressive view of women simultaneously worships and infantilizes the feminine. Women are morally pure, and their word should be taken as fact, but they are powerless.

This view of women as pure victims comes with advantages and cultural clout. Individuals who fall under the category of “woman” are assumed to be incapable of predation. Because they are not threats, they exist outside the realm of moral scrutiny. Such examination is reserved for those with moral agencies, those capable of causing harm, i.e., men.

In progressive culture, there is an obvious incentive for men to transition to women. By escaping the category of “men,” transwomen immediately receive the moral virtue assigned to women. They now exist as victims of men, are presumed to have no capacity for predation, and deserve the affirmation, love, and protection progressives shower upon the “historically marginalized.”

For some men, taking advantage of modern technology and progressive beliefs is an easy choice. Why live as a “toxic” man when it is possible to transform from the presumption of predation to the presumption of purity?

Female predation relies on pretense

The transgender metamorphosis from male predator to female victim relies on using age-old techniques of covert predation. This is because female predation relies on pretense and deceit.

This may be a politically incorrect observation, but it is true. Predatory men have historically abused their victims in physical ways because men enjoy a tremendous biological strength over women. People intuitively know this. It is easy to imagine a man physically intimidating a woman, but not vice versa. It is what lurks behind the bathroom wars that are the subject of heated legislative debate. Republicans are concerned about men in women’s spaces, not vice versa, because the idea of a woman entering a male space and exercising physical dominion is not persuasive.

Similarly, while uncomfortable for those who view men and women as interchangeable, the power of the MeToo movement, driven by progressive beliefs—is derived from the presumption that men have a far greater physical ability to intimidate women.

While most men can easily physically dominate most women, it is also true that throughout history, women have leveraged non-physical forms of force to obtain what they want. Christine Blasey-Ford accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault to “place an asterisk” next to his name, thus tainting every SCOTUS decision that hinged on his vote.

Ford accomplished her goal, flexing a form of power men cannot wield. Imagine if a man had accused Justice Ketanji Jackson Brown of sexually abusing him in his teenage years in a manner similar to Ford. Such a claim would have had no power because its premise would have been laughable. A teen girl physically, much less sexually, intimidated a teenage boy? The tears of such a man would have been socially mocked, not because women cannot sexually abuse men or boys, but because people intuitively understand that women do not engage in the same forms of predation as men.

Indeed, one of our most pressing cultural problems is a widespread inability to understand female predation at all. In progressive culture, naming female predation is a cancellable offense. This is why criticizing Ford was a form of progressive blasphemy. Whether Ford is a historical hero or villain relies on the truth of her claims. If Ford lied, she altered public discourse and historical perception through the strategic use of deceit. Reasonable minds may weigh the truth of her claims differently, but what is indisputable is that no man could have exercised the type of power Ford wielded.

In progressive spaces, discussing female predation is taboo, and the prohibition on discussing this topic fuels transgender ideology. Thus, transwomen can exercise the power of pretense by becoming women and accessing the moral purity and victimhood that women have held for time immemorial. To solve the transgender issue, conservatives must be willing to address the reality that female predation exists and generally takes a non-physical form. Radical progressive gender ideologies will be defeated when female predation is culturally understood.
