A left-wing New Yorker who posted a video on TikTok calling for the assassination of DOGE chief Elon Musk has attracted the attention of the Trump Justice Department.
In the video, posted on X by Libs of TikTok, Sarah C. Roberts blatantly threatens Musk and admits to not paying taxes for the past eight years.
Musk responded to the video on X, CC’ing U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin, and writing: “Death threat and multiple counts of tax fraud.”
“Duly noted, thx for letting us know,” Martin replied. “We’ll put you in the system, talk soon, ma’am.”
Roberts’ video is shockingly self-incriminating.
“I promised myself that I would avoid the news, but obviously I haven’t” she says very quietly at the start of the now deleted video. Roberts added that she has “one thought” about Elon Musk before making an unsubtle cutthroat gesture.
“Like, we need to X him and by X I mean formally known as assassination,” she declared unambiguously.
She continued whispering somewhat incoherently about “a warning from the FBI,” going on to dare the feds to “arrest me.”
Returning to an audible volume, she exclaimed: “You don’t even have enough people to even investigate me at this point!”
Roberts then suggested that she expected her threats to fly under the radar because she had gotten away with not paying taxes for many years.
“I haven’t filed my taxes in like eight years and yet no ones come for me, so I’m going to f-cking say it. Let’s assassinate some motherf-ckers,” she concluded.
Roberts’s chilling call for Musk’s assassination comes after two attempts on President Trump’s life last year, and the successful assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a midtown Manhattan hotel, last December.
The suspect, 26-year-old Luigi Mangione, has since become somewhat of a folk hero among many on the left.
Roberts also has an Instagram account, which she has set to private. Her bio indicates that she identifies as “she/her” and claims to “bring value and bless lives.”
The account links to a radical black trans “collective” called “Brooklyn Liberation” that advocates for “trans youth.”
Roberts is by no means the first unhinged leftist to threaten Trump’s team on social media. Libs of TikTok also drew attention to an individual who recently threatened to behead both Vice President J.D. Vance and Elon Musk and feed their body parts to animals.
