A New Jersey mayor says the mysterious drones still being reported over his area may not be a matter of national security, but are a cause for concern.
Michael Melham, the mayor of Belleville, told News Nation in an interview this week that NJ residents still need answers, which he hopes will be provided by President Donald Trump soon.
Significant numbers of UFO/UAPs have been spotted in the skies of northern and central New Jersey since Nov. 18. Unidentified drones have also been reported hovering over other areas on the Northeast, including Brooklyn and Staten Island.
Melham said New Jersey residents are still “gravely concerned over what’s flying just over our homes,” and are demanding answers.
“We need answers and we need them quickly,” he said.
The mayor told News Nation that he recently spent some time with a videographer from Long Island who captured “these glowing orbs of light on camera.”
He shared two such videos here and here on X.
“As you watch them, right before your eyes they seem to transform into a mechanical drone,” he said, noting they were able to verify that the objects were not planes using flight tracker.
“I’ve watched it myself— these glowing balls of light with different blinking lights all over the place and as it gets closer to you it actually see it transform into a drone.”
Under Joe Biden, the mystery remained unsolved, but President Trump has recently vowed to get answers.
“I would like to find out what it is and tell the people. In fact, I’d like to do that. Could we find out what that was?” he told White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles on his first day in office.
“Our president-elect receives the same exact national intelligence briefing that our president does, so if it was a foreign adversary or something alien or extraterrestrial, I’m certain, as president-elect, he would have known,” Melham said.
“The fact that he doesn’t seem to have that many details … tells me that if he’s not briefed on it yet, it’s probably not a matter of national security, or certainly not an alien invasion or anything crazy like that.”
Melham said it’s “more than likely” the aircraft are “our government assets” as Trump had surmised when he was president-elect.
“If it were a foreign adversary, I’m almost certain that with a trillion dollar military budget, we’d be able to take these things out of the sky.”
The mayor expressed confidence that Trump will provide answers—hopefully soon.
“I do take the president at his word. I do think that we are gonna get some kind of disclosure, he said, adding that it will “come soon.”
He’s an idiot. Those are planets. Some are more visible this time of year. They ARE NOT drones! (I know, I saw one on Christmas Eve. I first thought it was an airplane but realized it was staying in the same place. Did a little research and realized it was Saturn.)
