President Trump’s new administration has been busy dismantling many of the policy initiatives of the Biden administration, including an executive order signed on Biden’s first day as president mandating an official obsession with race and gender preferences.
Now there are reports that the Customs and Border Protection is pushing back against efforts by the new administration to dismantle diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices throughout the federal bureaucracy.
DEI: Federal agencies ‘rebranding’ DEI are committing fraud against the United States. They should be identified, fired, and prosecuted. https://t.co/Hf0YhKfosQ pic.twitter.com/L3sq03IIQ3

The Border Patrol website speaks glowingly of Special Emphasis Programs which they say creates a “more diverse and inclusive workforce” and also mentions diversity and inclusion programs to help “develop an appreciation” for those who are not like us.
For its part, the Trump administration seems to serious about rolling back the woke infrastructure that has been put in place in the past 4 years.
Trump began his term by rescinding Biden’s executive order from Jan 20, 2021 “Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government,” and then followed up with another executive order “Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing,” or EO 24.
The next day, a third executive order was filed “Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity.”
EO 24 detailed precisely what federal agencies would have to do to expel DEI:
Terminate, to the maximum extent allowed by law, all DEI, DEIA, and ‘environmental justice’ offices and positions (including but not limited to ‘Chief Diversity Officer’ positions); all ‘equity action plans,’ ‘equity’ actions, initiatives, or programs, ‘equity-related’ grants or contracts; and all DEI or DEIA performance requirements for employees, contractors, or grantees.
Ending DEI was a high priority for the voters who swept Trump back into the Oval Office and it was a campaign promise that the president clearly intends to keep.
With a surprising number of federal employees openly saying they would resist the new administration, it’s not going to be a simple demolition job.
