Disconnected: Trump Cabinet Confirmation Hearings Showcase Democrats’ True Priorities

As the U.S. Senate has begun conducting confirmation hearings for individuals nominated to be part of the incoming Trump administration’s cabinet, the public is likely learning more about the mindset of certain Democratic firebrands as it is about the nominees.

Military veteran and nominee for Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth faced tense questioning from Democratic Senators, including Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) who attempted to put Hegseth through an ideological struggle session over his take on women in combat.

Hegseth had previously stated in a podcast on Nov. 7 that the U.S. military “should not have women in combat roles,”  adding, “It hasn’t made us more effective. Hasn’t made us more lethal. Has made fighting more complicated. Hasn’t made us more lethal. Has made fighting more complicated.”

Sen. Gillibrand, after a rambling, desk pounding, 5 minute long tirade about women and LGBTQ members of the military, was put in her place by an unruffled Hegseth who outlined his distinguished record of military service, despite his apparent lack of woke credentials.

During yesterday’s hearing, Hegseth told Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) that he would be willing to support the continuation of women in combat roles, if standards were to remain high.

Hegseth also refused to place climate initiatives above the military’s ability to carry out its mission, telling Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) that he would fire a Secretary of the Navy who prioritizes climate change over shipbuilding.

In another confirmation hearing, U.S. Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi was confronted by Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) who demanded to know if she had any doubts regarding the 2020 election.

Bondi refused to play along with Durbin’s trickbag question and explained that while she “accept(s) the results” she still saw many irregularities “firsthand” during her time “on the ground in Pennsylvania.”

Durbin appeared disappointed that Bondi had not given a strictly, “yes” or “no” answer to his question and complained, “I think the length of your answer is an indication that you weren’t prepared to answer yes.”

If the American people needed any further evidence as to why the November elections swung hard in Trump’s direction, the hard-left priorities of these Democratic senators are on open display in these confirmation hearings.

  1. Hopefully, Trump and company already have assets apportioned to and focused laser like on the 2026 elections; instead of hoping - stupidly - that the benefits of having a MAGA administration across the board for the time being - is something that we can expect people will just notice on their own.

The time has come - is actually long past due - for the Republicans to begin to consciously dismantle and destroy the communist oriented party of Stalinist mentality - aka The Democrats.

For all practical purposes - they might as well openly have representatives of the CCP - running their show - for want of any dissimilarity between the Democrats and the Chinese, globalist, Leftist agendas.

For nearly 100 years these ideological vermin have been hiding in plain sight and burrowing into the fabric of the country; time to call in the exterminators and face the fact that you can’t mollify nor coddle a mortal enemy into playing nicely nor fairly.
