Joe Biden is taking credit for bringing immigration numbers “way down” and for deploying “more Secret Service agents” to the border.
Biden appears to have made the stunning comments last week during a reception for incoming Democrat members of Congress. He also claimed during that same event to have known Russian President Vladimir Putin for “over 47 years.”
“Let’s get something in mind about the border. When I became president, the numbers came way down!” he told reporters.
The 82-year-old added bizarrely that he “pushed very hard” to “put more Secret Service agents” on the border.
“We had a circumstance where I pushed very hard from bipartisan agreement to put more [unintelligible] on the border, more-more-more Secret Service agents, and guess what? He’s on the phone saying don’t do it. Don’t do it. Make me look bad,” Biden said.
Fox News’ LA-based correspondent Bill Melugin expressed shock on X that Biden would make “such a claim.”
“A stunning, bold faced lie,” Melugin wrote. “I’m having trouble picking my jaw up off the floor that he would make such a claim. Unbelievable.”
At least 12 million illegal aliens were allowed into the country during Biden’s tenure, according to incoming Border Czar Tom Homan.
“To go from the most secure border in my lifetime under President Trump … to historic illegal immigration in one administration, that’s not mismanagement, that’s by design,” Homan told Tucker Carlson during a TCN interview, last month.
Biden was scheduled to deliver a foreign policy address at 2:00 pm Monday to tout his regime’s alleged foreign policy achievements.

Mr. Biden’s statement about having known Vladimir Putin for 47 years may not be a s silly as it sounds–although it does have a certain ominous ring to it–if we’re actually supposed to believe it. 47 years ago Vladimir Putin was a KGB agent for the Soviet Union.
