Dirty Tricks: Fake Bomb Threat Targeting MTG Leads to Fatal Car Crash

An email notifying authorities in Rome, Georgia about an alleged bomb threat targeting Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has led to the death of a woman killed in a car crash with responding police.

The false bomb threat was the ninth time that Greene has been subjected to so-called “swatting” since she was elected to Congress.

Swatting typically consists of false 911 calls or notifications to a specific threat or person that sends police to that person’s location believing they are going into a high risk situation.

It has become a favored tactic of the radical left to target politicians and political leaders on the right.

The incident involving Rep. Greene stemmed from the Rome Police Department’s Assistant Chief of Police receiving an email containing a bomb threat directed at the congresswoman.

Among the responding authorities was a Rome PD officer who was answering the call in his personal vehicle to take his place with the bomb squad.

While enroute, the officer was involved in a traffic accident that claimed the life of an innocent woman and injured the responding officer.

Yahoo News reports that authorities traced the email to a Russian IP address and that the congresswoman will be working with state and federal law enforcement to bring those responsible to justice.

Last Christmas, Greene was targeted in another swatting attempt at her residence in Northern Georgia when a man calling from New York telephoned the Georgia suicide hotline and claimed that he had just shot his girlfriend was was about to kill himself next.

Dispatchers recognized the congresswoman’s address and determined that it was a hoax before police could be sent to Greene’s home.

A number of President-elect Trump’s cabinet picks and appointees were targeted two weeks ago in a wave of bomb threats and swatting attacks.

House Speaker Mike Johnson denounced the attacks as “dangerous and unhinged” in a post on X.
