Deflated by the resounding November defeat, the left now believes it can magically rebound by destroying Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees.
Many of Trump’s picks are well outside the usual Washington, DC/New York political, media, and corporate nexus.
But that is precisely the point—to insert reformers into a bloated, incompetent, and weaponized government who are not part of it.
Trump’s nominee for FBI director, Kash Patel, is already drawing severe criticism.
His furious enemies cannot go after his resume, since he has spent a lifetime in private, congressional, and executive billets, both in investigations and intelligence.
Instead, they claim he is too vindictive and does not reflect the ethos of the FBI.
But what will Patel not do as the new director?
He will not serially lie under oath to federal investigators as did interim FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a current Patel critic.
He will not forge an FBI court affidavit, as did convicted felon and agency lawyer Kevin Clinesmith.
He will not claim amnesia 245 times under congressional oath to evade embarrassing admissions as did former Director James Comey.
He will not partner with a foreign national to collect dirt and subvert a presidential campaign as the FBI did with Christopher Steele in 2016.
He will not use the FBI to draft social media to suppress news unfavorable to a presidential candidate on the eve of an election.
He would not have suppressed FBI knowledge that Hunter Biden’s laptop was genuine—to allow the lie to spread that it was “Russian disinformation” on the eve of the 2020 election.
He will not raid the home of an ex-president with SWAT teams, surveil Catholics, monitor parents at school board meetings, or go after pro-life peaceful protestors.
Decorated combat veteran Pete Hegseth is another controversial nominee for secretary of defense.
What will Hegseth likely not do?
Go AWOL without notifying the president of a serious medical procedure as did current Secretary Lloyd Austin?
Install race and gender criteria for promotion and mandate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training?
Insinuate falsely that cabals of white supremacists had infiltrated the military—only to alienate that entire demographic and thus ensure the Pentagon came up 40,000 recruits short?
Oversee the scramble from Kabul that saw $50 billion in U.S. military equipment abandoned to Taliban terrorists?
Watch passively as a Chinese spy balloon traversed the continental United States for a week?
Allow the chairman of the Joint Chiefs to promise his Chinese communist counterpart that the People’s Liberation Army would first be informed if the President of the United States was felt to issue a dangerous order?
Rotate into the Pentagon from a defense contractor boardship and then leave office to rotate back there to leverage procurement decisions?
Oversee the Pentagon’s serial flunking of fiscal audits?
Health and Human Services nominee Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is certainly a maverick. He may earn the most Democratic hits, given his former liberal credentials.
But what will RFK also not do as HHS secretary?
Oversee his agencies circumventing U.S. law by transferring money to communist China to help it produce lethal gain-of-function viruses of the COVID-19 sort—in the manner of Dr. Fauci?
Organize scientists to go after critics of mandatory masking and defame them?
Give pharmaceutical companies near-lifetime exemptions from legal jeopardy for rushing into production mRNA vaccines not traditionally vetted and tested?
Leave office to monetize his HHS expertise and thus make millions from the pharmaceutical companies?
Trump’s nominee for Director of National Intelligence, former congressional representative and military veteran Tulsi Gabbard, will soon be defamed in congressional hearings.
But what has Gabbard not done?
Joined “51 former intelligence authorities” to lie on the eve of the 2020 election that the Hunter Biden laptop “had all the hallmarks” of a Russian information/disinformation operation”—in an effort to swing the election to incumbent Joe Biden?
Lied under congressional oath like former DNI James Clapper, who claimed he only gave the “least untruthful answer” in congressional testimony?
Encourage the FBI to monitor a presidential campaign in efforts to discredit it—in the manner of former CIA Director John Brennan, who lied not once but twice under oath?
Fail to foresee the American meltdown in Kabul, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel, or the Houthis takeover of the Red Sea?
We are going to hear some outrageous things in the upcoming congressional confirmation hearings.
But one thing we will not hear about are the crimes, deceptions, and utter incompetence of prior and current government grandees.
The current crew, not their proposed Trump replacements, prompted the sick and tired American people to demand different people.
Voters want novel approaches to reform a government that they not only no longer trust but also now deeply fear.
But what they will make evident, so that even the blind and deaf, such as Helen Keller, can see and hear about, is the corruption, the graft and malfeasance which made a shambles out of the US government. Furthermore, as Democrats realize what may happen, they are lining up to procure clemency deals faster than investors will line up to buy an IPO offering from an Elon Musk company knowing that prosecution, and ultimate incarceration, for real crimes and misdemeanors, would require more room than the Gulags in Washington D. C. and the facilities at Gitmo could possibly provide.
The Biden Administration, full of greedy and corrupt politicians, took wrecking balls to every institution of American government and expected to retain power, the way California, still does, by creating votes, from whole cloth and thin air to allow pollution to rush in and destroy the sacred purity of the First Amendment in plain sight for the world to witness. Were 30 days required to manufacture the needed votes so as to win by a few hundred? Really? How many of these people can the teams of corrupt Democratic attorneys manage to create pardon agreements for Joe to sign before January 20, 2025 to save them from prosecution? Can they destroy all documents and evidence in time? They will try, in the meantime, to use their old tricks using what media Soros has yet to buy so as to allow propaganda to continue to escape the jaws of truth.
The left has run out of lies, falsehoods, innuendos, suppositions, conjectures and fabrications designed to insulate them from the likes of Patel, Kennedy, Gabbard, Hegseth and the wrath of those that legally voted for Trump. What they have done to America, by deliberately abrogating every aspect of original intentions, awaits punishments now, on earth, before they begin to discover Christ, and contrition, to avoid the fires in Hell where Demons, Gorgons, Hydras and Chimaeras await the new arrivals with delight.
Patel, Hegseth and Kennedy should use the relevant portion of Professor’s Hanson’s article as their opening statement when Senate hearings begin. That would make heads explode for sure!
While VDH speaks of the stark differences between Trump’s Cabinet picks and the current menagerie befouling their Washington nest, I want to make an observation of the ongoing Trump Effect on the World Stage.
Just as Captain Louis Renault was shocked to learn gambling was going on at Rick’s Cafe, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced a “shocking” discovery that fentanyl was found in her country–about twenty million doses worth, and seized by the Mexican Navy in two separate busts. This comes after Sheinbaum denied being under pressure by Trump’s threat of 25 percent tariffs on Mexican goods if they didn’t get the shared US border under control.
As the hair-on-fire establishment (both domestic and foreign) attack Trump on one hand, the other is raised in surrender. It is great to see. I read the other day that the Press Corp is already exhausted from the task of covering another Trump Administration. Joe Scarborough even went so far as to defend Fox News the other day.
The Trump Pirate ship is speeding on with full sails and wind spilling over the stern giving an extra push. Despite the protestations and accusations over some of his picks by media and Pols, I believe we will be treated to an easy confirmation process. The Jolly Roger continues to strike fear in the hearts of weak men. (and women)
Each of these cabinet picks have an essential quality for a true reformer-- each has direct knowledge of the corruption they have been tapped to address, gained through personal experience.
I think it might be instructional to take note of who in government is bawling & squalling the loudest-- they are the ones most likely to have reason to fear transparency. I also think it might be useful to utilize podcasts again to take the message directly to the people without the biased filter of traditional media.
I don’t know what pressures can be brought to bear on Susan Collins but Murkowski is in a uniquely vulnerable position – she has been disavowed by the Alaska Republican Party & she faces a really rough reelection campaign, even with RCV still in place, if she is cut off from national campaign funds. For every other RINO, the message ought to be the same, get in line on these nominations or face your next campaign solely on what you can personally fundraise.
I am encouraged by one other part of this whole business. For decades, Dems have opposed Republican nominees and legislative attempts, painting them as radical and illegitimate because the electoral college vote & the popular vote were not aligned-- that dog won’t hunt this time. As St. Barry said, elections have consequences.
Yeah, I saw where Alaska’s RCV was retained by the slimmest of margins. Your point on Murkowski’s vulnerability will, hopefully, have an affect on how she votes in the upcoming confirmation hearings. Given what the Trump Effect has had on Washington, I won’t be surprised to see some Democrat Senators voting yes on many of his nominations too.
