With Donald Trump set to remove the United States from the Paris Climate Accords once again, Americans need to know why Trump’s action is essential. In my new film, The Climate According to AI Al Gore, I expose the foundational lies of the godfather of the climate change movement. Because of Al Gore, governments worldwide spend billions on carbon dioxide reduction policies. In fact, climate change is now a kind of religion, and Al Gore is their messiah. It all began in 1992 when Gore published his climate emergency manifesto, Earth in the Balance, where he claimed that carbon dioxide was dooming the planet and called for environmental control to become “the central organizing principle for civilization.” Then in 2006, with the release of his film, An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore’s climate change movement exploded.
Al Gore was no scientist. So where did his expertise about the climate come from? The source Gore had always cited for his climate science was his Harvard professor, Roger Revelle, who he claimed taught an unnamed course in the fall semester of 1969. To get some answers, I went to the University of California San Diego, where Roger Revelle’s lifelong papers are stored. First, I discovered that the course Gore took from Revelle at Harvard was called “Human Populations” and was about world population growth (Gore scored a “C” in the class). I examined copies of Revelle’s weekly class lecture list for “Human Populations,” the reading list, and the final exam. There was absolutely nothing about the climate or atmospheric science! Next, I reviewed Revelle’s numerous articles and interviews over 40 years and discovered that Revelle did not agree with Gore’s theories about greenhouse gases, global warming, or climate change. In the 1950s, Revelle had simply taken measurements and asked good questions, concluding that extra carbon dioxide was having no effect on the climate. Revelle said it was being absorbed by plant life and the oceans, and that future predictions could not be made. Yet Al Gore politicized Roger Revelle’s research with his climate alarmism and credited Revelle for his extreme apocalyptic environmental positions, which Gore repeatedly called “a spiritual crisis.”
So where did Al Gore’s climate science really come from? In early 1971, after serving only four months in Vietnam as a journalist, Gore applied to the Vanderbilt Divinity School, a draft dodgers’ haven, to cut short his time in service. It was at Vanderbilt Divinity School that Gore studied with radical environmental preachers and where the reading list included a popular 1940s environmental cataclysm book called Our Plundered Planet. My analysis of this book reveals that Gore pilfered Our Plundered Planet to write his 1992 environmental emergency manifesto, Earth in the Balance. However, in order to secularize his apocalyptic religious vision of a “climate emergency,” Gore credited his Harvard professor Roger Revelle. Had Gore told the truth, namely that he just rewrote the apocalyptic ravings of the wacky Our Plundered Planet book, Gore’s climate alarmism would have been dismissed as unacceptable and absurd.
Researching Al Gore’s greenhouse gas theory, I learned that carbon dioxide is not a pollutant or a bad gas. Carbon dioxide is our friend. Without it, life on Earth would not be possible. As humans, we release it every time we exhale. In fact, carbon dioxide is the food of nearly all plants on earth. We need more carbon dioxide, not less. More carbon dioxide would result in more crops, more food yield, and the greening of the deserts. Earth’s atmosphere contains only 370 parts per million of carbon dioxide. That’s just .0037 percent. Not even one percent! Even if its concentration were tripled, carbon dioxide would still be minuscule. No effect. It is the sun, volcanoes, the tilt of the earth’s axis, water vapor, sunspots, clouds, and ocean cycles that affect world temperatures, not carbon dioxide.
As for scientists and the climate movement, I learned that the only scientists who agree with climate change are those dependent on government funding. Universities and green organizations also reap financial benefits from climate panic. There are not just billions, but now trillions of dollars at stake to keep the climate change narrative going. They are all, in effect, being paid by the government to agree. If you talk to real scientists, they will tell you there is nothing to global warming and that because of the climate’s complexity, reliable prognoses just aren’t possible.
Why don’t the simple facts about carbon dioxide take hold? Unfortunately, today’s climate movement has taken on the characteristics of a religion. And religions don’t worry too much about facts. It’s a belief system. Mass movements can rise and spread without belief in a god, but never without belief in a devil. That’s why people who disagree with climate change are treated as evil heretics who deserve to be punished. Even RFK Jr., now popular with conservatives, has said that climate deniers should be in jail along with other war criminals. For believers, the earth is pristine, and humans came along and ruined it. So we are all original sinners. But you can get salvation through sustainability. Buy an electric car!
I concluded that “climate change” today is merely the latest scam with the same socialist solutions that Americans would never vote for: central planning and wealth redistribution. It’s really all an assault on freedom and prosperity to try to stop the existence of the free market system. This is because Marxists are furious that free markets have achieved wealth for common workers and want to reverse this economic success to validate Marxism. Accordingly, communists simply morphed into climate warriors to try to cripple the economies of the industrialized nations while stopping needed economic growth in the developing countries. There is an unmistakable racial component to all of this. Black and brown people in the third world are essentially being told they can never have the same standard of living as the predominantly white Western world.
Al Gore was born in Washington and is a creature of Washington. Gore’s life story is one of being anointed by his politician father, US Senator Albert Gore Senior, to become president one day. This created tremendous pressure on Al Junior, who did not have a personality suited to politics and who lacked the charisma of his father. Accordingly, Gore felt compelled to create issues in order to achieve the ambitions his family had bestowed upon him. In the early 1980s, Gore studied hard to make himself into an arms control expert. After Ronald Reagan won the Cold War and made Gore’s newfound expertise obsolete, Gore chose to push climate alarmism theories to try to garner political support. He felt the environmental issue was a popular one that crossed all class lines—and the rest is history.
After completing my research on Al Gore and climate science, I emailed Gore to request an interview. While a student in Washington, DC, I had interned for the then-conservative US Senator Al Gore from Tennessee. He didn’t respond, so I asked myself, ‘What if I could use AI technology to have an honest conversation with Al Gore?’ And that’s what I did; I recreated a realistic “AI” version of him, and I chronicled his story. Please check out my new film, The Climate According to AI Al Gore.

World climate is an almost infinitely more complicated phenomenon than local weather–yet no sane meteorologist would stake his livelihood on his ability to correctly predict the weather for, say, metropolitan Detroit five days from now. And yet we know for certain what the climate of the world will be five decades from now?
JibJab, the electronic greeting card company, started out doing political satire and the one that really caught the public’s attention was the 2009 “Hide the Decline” short about the deliberate suppression of evidence that did not support the global warming narrative. https://youtu.be/dul_hYde0nk?si=TcdJ-uEaA0T_gZrx
Now, 15 years later, it’s been mostly forgotten and global warming has become climate change to create cover for all the inconsistent statistics that tend to disprove the original theory and they have changed the denotive meaning of ‘consensus’ from agreement within a group to agreement by everyone within a group because scientific inquiry is now an exercise in group-think.
Media(mainstream & social), academia, and the government have all ruthlessly suppressed any voice that is not in lock-step with spending untold trillions on policies that will not produce that stated goals – which would be problematic for life on this planet-- but are having all sorts of disasterous “unintended” consequences that were totally foreseeable.
EVs have an enormous environmental footprint, the process of refining metals for rechargeable batteries has horrific ecological impact, solar farms are changing microclimates where they are built (and not for the better), wind farms on both land and off shore are negatively effecting wildlife. Disposal of used turbine blades are creating problems in landfills and improper disposal of rechargeable batteries is starting to contaminate ground water.
How much longer will this farce continue until people wake the hell up & realize this is, and always has been, bullshit?
Who says, “Crime doesn’t pay?” This maniacal charlatan has become a very wealthy man just by scaring people!
Which makes it all the more infuriating!
It must be too inconvenient to tell China that it is one of the planet’s two biggest polluters.
