The Biden Administration is reportedly set to announce another multi-million dollar weapons package for Ukraine, this time to the tune of $275 million.
According to Fox News, Biden plans to use his presidential drawdown authority (PDA) to send weapons to Ukraine from American stockpiles, which will be delivered more quickly than they would have been through a Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) deal.
According to an anonymous source that spoke to Fox, the weapons will include the High Mobility Artillery Rocket (HIMAR) system, 155 mm artillery shells, drones, and Javelin surface-to-air missiles. Following this latest package, the federal government will have $6.9 billion left in PDA funding and $2.21 billion left in USAI funding.
The Biden Administration provided Ukraine with $425 million in supplies and weapons last month, primarily using PDA money. Earlier this week, Biden finally allowed Ukraine to start using American-made long-range missiles on Russian soil, which directly led to a strike on Russian territory on Tuesday by six American-made Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS). Russian forces were able to shoot down five of the missiles and severely damage the sixth, resulting in no casualties on the ground.
Nevertheless, the incident has escalated fears of an even larger conflict with Russia that may soon involve the U.S. Some have accused the Biden regime of attempting to sabotage any possible peace negotiations that President-elect Donald Trump has planned with Russia and Ukraine, with just 60 days left before he is sworn in as the 47th President of the United States.
