Democratic Election Officials Illegally Interfere in Swing State Election

On Thursday, Democratic election officials in Bucks County, Pennsylvania voted to violate state law and allow undated or misdated ballots to be counted in the upcoming recount for the state’s U.S. Senate election.

As reported by the Daily Caller, County Commissioners Diane Ellis-Marseglia and Robert Harvie voted to allow such ballots to be included in the recount, even though the state supreme court ruled on November 1st that ballots with no dates or dated after the election are not allowed to be counted. The sole Republican on the board, Gene DiGirolamo, voted against the measure.

During the public meeting where the commissioners voted on the matter, Ellis-Marseglia explicitly admitted that she was violating the law, declaring that “precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country,” and bizarrely added that “people violate laws anytime they want.”

Similar moves have been made by county commissioners in other crucial counties, including Centre County, Philadelphia County, and Montgomery County. The effort is being led by far-left lawyer and activist Marc Elias, who is actively working to overturn the results of the Senate race in Pennsylvania after multiple outlets declared victory for the Republican Party.

In response, the Bucks County GOP issued a statement revealing that it is working with lawyers from the Pennsylvania GOP and the Republican National Committee (RNC) to challenge the decision in Bucks County.

In the state’s critical Senate race, Republican challenger Dave McCormick has defeated incumbent Senator Bob Casey (D-Penn.) by a margin of over 25,000 votes. Casey has refused to concede, but also did not request a recount in the race. Instead, Secretary of State Al Schmidt (D-Penn.) ordered a recount, set to begin on November 20th and conclude by November 26th.

The race has been called for McCormick by the Associated Press, NPR, Fox News, and multiple state and local outlets; McCormick has already attended Senate orientation meetings ahead of his expected swearing-in in January.
