Biden-Harris DOJ Sues to Block Multiple Election Integrity Efforts Ahead of Election

With just seven days left before the 2024 election, the Biden-Harris Administration’s Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed multiple lawsuits across the country in an effort to block numerous statewide efforts at securing election integrity.

As reported by Just The News, the DOJ has filed lawsuits against the state of Virginia, Wisconsin, and Alabama over efforts to remove illegal aliens from the voter rolls, as well as other efforts to combat voter fraud such as returning to paper-only ballots and hand-counting instead of machine-based counting.

Earlier in October, the DOJ sued Virginia for removing thousands of illegal aliens from the voter rolls. On Friday, a federal judge sided with the DOJ and demanded that the commonwealth put the illegals back on the voter rolls. The DOJ used the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993 to argue that this effort was in violation of federal law.

“Let’s be clear about what just happened: only eleven days before a Presidential election, a federal judge ordered Virginia to reinstate over 1,500 individuals – who self-identified themselves as noncitizens – back onto the voter rolls,” said Governor Glenn Youngkin (R-Va.) in a statement following the judge’s ruling. “Almost all these individuals had previously presented immigration documents confirming their noncitizen status, a fact recently verified by federal authorities.”

“Virginia will immediately petition the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and, if necessary, the U.S. Supreme Court, for an emergency stay of the injunction,” Youngkin continued.

A similar case was brought against the state of Alabama, which removed at least 3,251 illegal aliens from its voter rolls. The DOJ sued the state, and a federal judge sided with the DOJ, citing federal law. Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen (R-Ala.) has said that he will comply with the judge’s orders.

In Wisconsin, the DOJ sued two rural towns which decided to reject electronic voting machines and instead resort to hand-counting of paper ballots, and to use only paper ballots in the election. The DOJ claimed that this was in violation of another federal law, the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002, as this resulted in no voting machines accessible for people with disabilities. Although the small town of Lawrence decided to comply, the town of Thornapple has remained defiant and defended its decision.

Election integrity remains a top concern for many voters, following widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election which led to credible evidence that the results of the election may have been shifted in favor of Democrat Joe Biden. Numerous practices that were unilaterally implemented due to the Chinese Coronavirus – including ballot-harvesting, ballot drop-boxes, and increased early voting and vote-by-mail – are ripe for fraud and have led to greater irregularities in the four years since then. Also a concern for many Americans is the high number of illegal aliens registered to vote, despite not being American citizens.
