The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) has signed off on allowing a so-called “transgender” player to compete, even after 275 female golfers signed a letter expressing their opposition to the decision.
As reported by Breitbart, biological male Hailey Davidson is slated to compete in this week’s LPGA Qualifying Series, where competitors hope to advance to the final stage of qualifying school (Q-School) in December, where they will then compete for the chance to win an LPGA card.
Davidson made it through the pre-qualifying stage of Q-School after tying for 42nd place in August. Prior to his participation, 275 female players signed an open letter voicing their opposition to his inclusion. The letter was sent to the LPGA, the United States Golf Association (USGA), and the International Golf Federation (IGF), dated August 19th.
The LPGA’s current policy dictates that biological men can compete among the women if they have undergone the surgical procedures and meet a certain threshold of hormone therapy treatment. But the women pointed out in their letter that even these changes do not erase the inherent biological advantages that he will have over the rest of them.
“We all know there can be no equal athletic opportunity for women without a separate female golf category,” the letter declares. “Yet, the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) continues to propagate a policy that allows male athletes to qualify, compete, and win in women’s golf, even as several national and international governing bodies of sport and state legislatures increasingly reject these unjust and inequitable policies that harm female athletes.”
“LPGA policy does not explicitly state eligibility based on sex. It is essential for the integrity and fairness of women’s golf to have a clear and consistent participation policy in place based on a player’s immutable sex,” the letter continued. “There are differences between the sexes—female and male—that specifically affect our sport of golf.”
The letter comes amid broader societal pushback against transgenderism, the false and scientifically-debunked notion that there are more than two genders, and that anyone can simply change their gender at any time.
Unless the entire membership of the LPGA threatens to resign and collapse that organization, there is nothing else to be done. Participating in any event where men are allowed to compete fraudulently is to sanction the idea that a man can become a woman.
It reminds me of the chaos created by Cheater Extraordinaire, Lance Armstrong, in the professional cycling world (thanks asshole for ruining that sport for millions - burn in hell please). Teams knew he was cheating. He silenced his own teammates with threats. That is what happens when cheaters are allowed to get away with cheating and why any true sportsman or woman must refrain from allowing the cheat to prosper, in this case the LPGAQI++.
