Elon Musk Offers $1M Per Day to Americans who Sign PAC’s Pro-Constitution Petition

A super PAC backed by SpaceX and Tesla owner Elon Musk is now offering up to $1 million every single day that Americans sign a petition expressing support for the United States Constitution.

As ABC News reports, the America PAC was created after Musk openly endorsed former President Donald Trump for the 2024 election, following the assassination attempt against him in July. Musk has already committed over $70 million to the former president’s third bid for the White House and has been attending rallies and campaign events in support of the Trump/Vance campaign.

On Saturday, Musk made a vow that his PAC would give away $1 million in exchange for people signing the PAC’s petition, which reaffirms support for the First Amendment’s protection of freedom of speech and the Second Amendment’s protection of the right to keep and bear arms. He gave away one such check at the campaign event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to a man named John Dreher, followed by another check gifted on Sunday.

Musk has become a vocal advocate for voter registration and get-out-the-vote (GOTV) initiatives, urging everyone to get as many people as they can to the polls ahead of the November 5th election. He has used his social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter prior to his acquisition of the website, to promote his message.

But since Musk became more vocal in his support for Trump, Democrats have attempted to punish him and his businesses in a form of political retaliation. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (D-Penn.) said during an interview on Sunday that he considers Musk’s promise to be “deeply concerning.”

“I think there are real questions with how he is spending money in this race, how the dark money is flowing, not just into Pennsylvania, but apparently now into the pockets of Pennsylvanians,” Shapiro said during his appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Elsewhere in the country, Democrats in California blocked a proposal to expand the number of SpaceX launches and other test projects conducted in the Golden State, explicitly citing Musk’s support for Trump as a factor. In response, SpaceX filed a lawsuit against the state for political discrimination.
