‘Failing Upward’: Karine Jean-Pierre Promoted to Senior Adviser to Joe Biden

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, widely derided on the right for her evasive and deceptive press briefings, has reportedly been promoted to “senior adviser to the president.”

“Karine has been a trusted advisor to the President and all of us here at the White House since day one. Her counsel will be critical to get as much done as possible for the American people in the coming months,” said Jeff Zients, the president’s chief of staff.

The self-described “openly queer” Jean-Pierre was tapped to become the press secretary in 2022, fulfilling the Biden Regime’s pledge to advance Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in the federal workforce.

“Jill and I have known and respected Karine a long time and she will be a strong voice speaking for me and this Administration,” Biden said in a statement at the time.

She quickly became known for floundering and telling obvious lies when asked an unscripted question.

In June of 2022, as the nation was weathering a severe baby formula shortage, Jean-Pierre falsely stated that the issue had long been on Joe Biden’s radar.

Jean-Pierre called the baby-formula shortage “one of the president’s top priorities,” insisting “this is something he is focusing on very acutely, and again I said 24/7 we’ve been working on this since we have learned about this back in February.”

Biden had told reporters only a few hours earlier that his administration had not taken action until April when “the problem became apparent.”

Jean-Pierre also repeatedly used her platform to dismiss concerns about Biden’s memory lapses and overall cognitive health.

On September 28, 2022, for instance, she was asked about a mortifying gaffe Biden had made during a White House event earlier in the day. While drawing attention to lawmakers in the room, he searched the crowd and motioned to see if Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) present so she could be acknowledged. “Jackie, are you here? Where’s Jackie?” Biden asked. Walorski had, in fact, died in a car accident on August 3 along with two of her staffers.  Biden had previously issued a statement extending his “deepest condolences” to Walorski’s family.

When reporters asked Jean-Pierre to comment on Biden’s mental lapse, she refused to characterize it as a gaffe in any way, insisting that Walorski was “on top of [Biden’s] mind”

“So the President was, as you all know — you guys were watching today’s event, a very important event on food insecurity,” she said. “The President was naming the congressional champions on this issue and was acknowledging her incredible work. He had — he had already planned to welcome the congresswoman’s family to the White House on Friday. There will be a bill signing in her honor this coming Friday. So, of course, she was on his mind. She was on top of mind for the President. He looks — very much looks forward to discussing her remarkable legacy of public service with them when he sees her family this coming Friday.”

In January of 2023, after Joe Biden told reporters that there was “nothing” to his classified document scandal and that he “had no regrets” about storing classified files in his garage, office, and home for six years, Jean-Pierre was happy to perform clean-up in the White House press room.

While declining to comment specifically on Biden’s remarks, Jean-Pierre insisted that “he does indeed take classified information seriously.”

“I’m just not going to go beyond that,” she told reporters at the time. “I would refer you to the White House Counsel’s Office for any specifics on the president’s comments.”

During “Lesbian Visibility Week” in April 2023, Jean-Pierre used the daily White House press briefing to showcase two lesbian themed television shows.  “As the first openly queer person to hold the position of press secretary for the president of the United States, I’m honored to welcome the cast of the ‘L word’ and ‘Generation Q,’ two Showtime series that chronicles the friendship, the love, the challenges and the triumphs of strong, funny, and resilient queer women!” Jean Pierre proudly proclaimed.

Two weeks after the October 7 massacre in Israel, Jean-Pierre dismissed concerns about increased hostility toward Jewish people throughout the country, telling reporters that Muslims—not Jews “have endured a disproportionate number of hate-fueled attacks.”

On Friday, Jean-Pierre denied that the Biden regime was using FEMA funds to feed, clothe and shelter noncitizens, calling the allegation “categorically false,” even though FEMA acknowledges on its own website that its Shelter and Services Program provided $640.9 million in grants to local governments and nonprofits to take care of undocumented immigrants.

African reporter Simon said that he was “censored and punished” for calling out Jean-Pierre’s serial prevarications.

“When you do the right thing, when you don’t send questions in advance, Karine Jean-Pierre is totally incompetent and she can’t answer basic questions—she lies a lot,” Simon Ateba, the Chief White House correspondent for Today News Africa, told then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson in March of 2023.

“She has lied repeatedly about the classified documents and other things [and] when you ask those questions, when you press for the truth they silence you,” he complained.

Popular X account “Amuse” described Karine’s promotion as a “stunning display” of “failing upward.”

“If the American people were still under the illusion that competence had any bearing on promotions in this White House, they must now confront the reality: identity politics has claimed another victim,” Amuse posted.

As the Biden regime comes to a close, Jean-Pierre will work alongside senior Biden advisers Mike Donilon, Steve Richetti and Bruce Reed.  She will begin her new role advising Biden effective immediately, according to ABC News.

A White House official told ABC News that “her promotion shows the faith that Biden has in her, as well as his commitment to having diverse and inter-generational voices guiding him in his decisions.”
