Eric Swalwell Throws Tantrum Over Memes

On Tuesday, Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) had a complete meltdown on camera during a committee hearing over a meme that had been posted by the committee’s GOP majority on X.

As the Daily Caller reports, Swalwell’s outburst in the House Judiciary Committee hearing was in response to an artificial intelligence (AI) image posted by the House Judiciary GOP account, depicting former President Donald Trump holding a duck and a cat. The image was posted with the caption “protect our ducks and kittens in Ohio!”

The post was made in response to numerous widespread claims from the residents of Springfield, Ohio that a surge of nearly 20,000 Haitian illegal aliens has led to multiple domestic pets, as well as ducks from public parks, being taken and killed by the Haitians for food.

“What in the hell is this?” Swalwell said, pointing angrily to a large printout of the post in question. “The chairman tweets ‘Protect our ducks and kittens in Ohio!’ because he goes down some crazy rabbit hole, completely debunked that aliens are eating pets?”

“My God! Are you okay Mr. Chairman?” Swalwell asked as his voice audibly cracked. “Because last year for a very long time, you tweeted and promoted Kanye West as he was calling for genocide against the Jews and you kept it up, and now when we have victims coming here, you’re tweeting this nonsense.”

Swalwell’s claim regarding the Judiciary Committee’s post about Kanye West is false, as the post was made before West started going on anti-Semitic rants.

“I don’t know why you would do this,” Swalwell continued. “I hope you’re okay. I don’t know if the aliens who are eating your ducks are in the room with us right now.”

Despite the Left’s insistence on this being a conspiracy theory, police bodycam footage has emerged of a black woman being arrested in Ohio for killing and eating a neighbor’s cat. There have also been official police reports confirming issues in the city involving the Haitian illegals. Multiple residents have spoken to reporters and at city council meetings insisting that the claims are true, and are simply being covered up by local authorities.

Multiple AI memes of President Trump rescuing or embracing cats and ducks have gone viral in response to the story. Others who shared such memes include X owner Elon Musk and Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

President Trump brought up the Springfield situation during his debate with Vice President Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) on Tuesday night, saying “They’re eating the dogs, they’re eating the cats.” When the moderators claimed that the story was not true, Trump simply responded “We’ll see.”
