Liz Cheney’s Kamala Endorsement: A Symptom of Elite Panic

Perhaps my favorite moment in Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s speech announcing the suspension of his presidential campaign and endorsement of Donald Trump was the rhetorical question, “Who needs a policy when you have Trump to hate?” I was reminded of that in the last couple of days as first Liz and then her father, Dick Cheney, declared that they were endorsing Kamala Harris for president.

I guess the legacy media regards those endorsements as big news because if you try to search for some of the blistering attacks Liz Cheney unleashed on Harris in the past, all you get is a solid wall of rah-rah headlines about what a big deal it is that the Cheneys turned on their party and endorsed Kamala.  My own feeling is that Ann Coulter got it exactly right in her amusing post on X:

Uh Oh, I just heard the news…DICK CHENEY IS VOTING KAMALA!

This…is…the…BIG ONE!

If they lose David French, this thing is OVER!

O-V-E-R

Of course, the Cheneys are not huddling with Kamala because they like what she stands for.  They, like the scores of other neocons who have endorsed Harris, are doing so because they hate and fear Trump.  Sure, we have our disagreements with Harris, they say.  But “The alternative . . . is simply untenable.”

Two points.  First, their fear of Trump is not irrational.  True, when he was elected in 2016, he did not “lock her up” Hillary Clinton, though he had better grounds to investigate her than the DOJ had to investigate him after he became president. Nor, despite Trump’s talk of “retribution,” do I believe he will weaponize the DOJ and other agencies to go after his political opponents. That’s what Democrats and NeverTrump neocons do.

But there will, I am confident, be a reckoning. Part of what this will entail was described well by Article III Project Founder and President (and former Chief Counsel for Nominations to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley) Mike Davis. A political neophyte when he came to office in 2016, Trump has learned his lesson.  He will come back to office in 2025 with a plan to “clean house” on day one.

That spring cleaning will have emanations and penumbrae. Liz Cheney will not be going to jail.  But she and her many ideological confrères will have their irrelevancy ratified and confirmed. Politically, they and their globalist agenda will be history.

My second point is about the comment that Trump’s reelection is “untenable,” an alternative that is just too horrible to contemplate.

That’s what the anti-Trump narrative says. But on what grounds?  We know what Trump would be like as president because he has already served a full four-year term.  There were things to criticize—profligate spending and, above all, his handling of the COVID hysteria.  But by and large, he had not just a successful but a wildly successful term.

I have rehearsed his accomplishments here and elsewhere many times.  For now, I’ll just remind you that

  1. We had a southern border and the flow of illegal immigration was slowed to a trickle.
  2. We were energy-independent and the cost of energy was low and sinking.
  3. There was peace in the Middle East thanks to Trump’s initiatives, especially the Abraham Accords.
  4. There was peace more generally.  Putin did not invade Ukraine during Trump’s tenure.
  5. Unemployment was the lowest it had been in decades; minority unemployment was the lowest on record.
  6. Inflation was 1.4%.
  7. Real wages were rising, especially at the lower end of the scale.
  8. Trump rolled back onerous and counterproductive regulations that hampered prosperity.
  9. Trump began dismantling the Title IX insanity at colleges and universities.
  10. He also took aim at DEI and ESG initiatives that had so negatively affected American businesses and government agencies.

That’s ten items out of scores one could recite.

The weeks before a presidential election are fraught.  As in war, the first casualty is truth.  And while that has been the case for decades, the rhetorical atmosphere has become more and more poisonous in recent election cycles.  There is probably nothing one can do about that except tune out the media bullhorns disseminating the mendacious narrative.

No one’s crystal ball is perspicacious enough to say who will win on November 5. Or let me amend that: No one’s crystal ball is perspicacious enough to say who will be accorded victory. As I write, Kamala Harris’s campaign is flailing.  The rush of people like the Cheneys to her banner is not a sign of strength; it is a sign of desperation.  I expect those feelings of desperation to increase as we approach election day.  Will Donald Trump be allowed to win?  Will he be allowed to take office?

No one knows the answers to those questions.  It will be interesting to see if hatred of Donald Trump by the entrenched globalist elite is enough to suppress or obfuscate the vote.  If I had to bet, I’d say that Trump’s disciplined campaign, his own charisma, and the supporters he has garnered from stars like Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, and Vivek Ramaswamy will win the day.  True, he will probably be outspent by at least 2 to 1 as he was last time.  But at the end of the day, I doubt that will save the frenzied “joy”-laden Harris-Walz campaign.

TDS has no limits on contagiousness and who it infects. Those who are not solidly principled in Constitutional Conservatism and the Austrian School of Economics, i.e. RINOS, are always the most susceptible and will develop serious manifestations of the disease after infection. The Cheneys went too far and for too long to ever recover. They would rather destroy the nation, just the way Romney and McCain would, rather than have their pride take the hit it unabashedly deserves.

I would say that over 50% of the GOP consists of weak RINO types who will quickly cave when confronted by progressive evil idiocracy in a 50/50 matchup. Cheney was always weak.

I learned a long time ago to evaluate people based on how they would stand up in a foxhole covering your back after days of inclement weather, without food and sleep, and while under constant enemy barrage. And I then think of my dogs. Cheney and other RINOS would not show a fraction of the commitment by dogs display. These dogs are ready to go into battle on a moments notice, they will not desist and will die before surrendering.

  2. Last evening I had a conversation with one of my best friends - one of my guys from Africa - Benin - to be exact. We’ve known each other for about 10 years; he’s around 40 now - mentoring is not for sissies nor those afraid of long term commitments! Anyway,

He is brilliant, but then, (No brag, just fact) I have a number of brilliant, best friends I am lucky enough to count as being such - one even got an Academy Award; the others are also tops in their fields.

The distinguishing difference of the aforementioned one previously mentioned is that he, like myself, has the ability to view things in a more or less egoless manner. Meaning that he is not anchored, augured down, chained as most are, to any one, fixed viewpoint from which he must view, order his world, and then quantify, codify it - based on the rigid, fixed protocols of that world view and allow it then to dictate the reality he thereby perceives (irrespective of it being right or wrong) view it as the one and only “real” way of viewing the world and therefore the way his actions must be predicated.

This means that when considering something, he is able to view it on a space, time, intellectual, creative continuum that can slide from one end of the spectrum - bad, ugly, disgusting - to good, better, best and every point in between - and,

all along the way sample how the thing under consideration matches with reality and what it might bode if implemented - and also what underpins it. The process is part emotional sensitivity, heightened imagination capabilities and, the ability to put oneself into and imagine, experience, what the outcome might be if this were done or that were so.

The problem we have now, the “really big” problem with the battle we are fighting right now is that our enemy - the LEFT - has no such ability to consider myriad options (nor the slightest inclination) because?

They - more than any on earth - are fixed in one spot; unable to move from that ugly, vile, violent, vicious, totalitarian spot they occupy and always have since time began.

A spot born of fear of life and living; a fear of surrendering to any “higher power” their right to do whatever they want to do; a fear based on absolutely no trust in human nature, life in general, others or even, if truth be told, themselves, so?

So, they feel the need to create, by force or any means necessary a separate reality, a world that doesn’t allow for options; doesn’t allow for people to “think outside the box” of their twisted and perverted utopian dream - nightmare - scenario.

To that end - they literally - having long ago given up their abilities to think for themselves - have no choice, but to embrace the “safe spaces” their rabid, totalitarian, goose-stepping, knee-jerk LEFTIST edicts dictate they must follow - en masse; lest their entire world of twisted perversions come crashing down and burn and then, they would be left with what? Without any understanding of how to think, and act, wouldn’t know (exactly - because they would have to think) what to do, how to act.

So - as if lemmings to the sea - even if they are doomed by going over the cliff and dying - that see that as a preferable possibility (even if an unavoidable inevitability) they feel it better to be embracing that than give credence to, submit to an existential threat to their “inclusive” modus operandi.

We are NOT dealing with rational, sane people; that’s the primary paradigm that we must realize and accept and predicate our courses of action against them based upon. These are essentially for all practical purposes - rabid animals in human form who do not care for Life, Liberty or the Pursuit of Happiness to the slightest degree and,

if the destruction of America, the Republic is necessitated?

If people must die as they did during the “mostly peaceful riots”, if businesses and cities must burn? Because we don’t want to willingly, wisely listen to them - and their siren song that sings of “the bright and shining path’s” - always close but never getting closer - way.

Well, then, we just should have known better, you see?

And what we get is well, just what we deserved for standing in the way of their grand plan for humanity. Because?

We asked for it, by not wising up, following the same Pied Piper into their slaughterhouse - abattoir for the concept of individuality?

Consequently, we deserve - practically sent out engraved invitations inviting ourselves - to have their righteousness descend upon us,

as if from on high and set us right, don’t ya know? We deserve their jack boots on our necks.

And soon, they have plans, you can be sure - for our sakes only of course - to round us up and send us to the gulags that they are likely - even now - planning for our re-education seminars.

  3. Liz is and always has been a globalist. One might say she learned it at her daddy’s knee. And, like all good globalists, she refuses to acknowledge publicly that globalism only works for the handful of uber-elite individuals at the top of the food chain (maybe because she hopes to be one?). Liz let her venom towards Trump lead her into taking actions that destroyed all but the most tenuous hope that she could revive her political career as a Republican; maybe this move is her audition of a spot on the Dem ticket. Whatever her so-called reasoning, all it has shown is her utter indifference to the health & well-being of this country. I am happy to predict that her political career is most likely over – the media will joyfully use her for their own ends but nobody will trust her to not knife them in the back if it is convenient.

  4. Will Donald Trump be allowed to win? Will he be allowed to take office?

In a word, no. Now, although I have opined in various ways and columns, perhaps it bears restating in a slightly different way this magnificent Sunday morning.

In another AG offering this morning, Messer’s Fanell and Thayer offer a glimpse into what would happen if Harris wins steals the upcoming election; a bleak and unthinkable nightmare. But from the perspective of the left, they are at the moment of onanistic climax which has been decades in the making. As Fanell and Thayer note, should Harris prevail, it will be the end of our 250 year “experiment” in a Constitutional republic, and the beginning of decades of dystopian totalitarianism.

With this realization foremost in the mind of the left, I believe they are willing to steal the upcoming election, and then use all the tools of governmental control–including omnipotent censorship, industrial-scale lawfare, mass arrests (marital law) and imprisonment (see the J6 martyrs), and perhaps even the use of a highly indoctrinated and cooperative military.

As the saying goes, possession is 9/10ths of the law, and right now the left controls ALL the major institutions in this country, and almost all aspects of the federal government. That would almost instantly change if Kama Sutra managed to win in November.

At that point, our federal government would be under the complete control of hard-left neo-Marxists, who would then repurpose every law enforcement and military asset to suppress resistance. There would be little in the way of ROE by the military, and LE would be unmoored from even the most basic Constitutional protections. In sum, this country would morph from the nominally Constitutional republic we once were, to a brutalist oligarchy indistinguishable from Communist China, or even the North Korean hellscape.

With victory, and all that it entails so tantalizingly close, why would the left postpone their victory? And for those who say a Harris election theft would spark a Civil War, they may wish to rethink their opinion. First, We the People have shown little inclination to resist incipient (Covid oppression; 2020 election theft) tyranny to date. And second, the left is both comfortable with, and quite skilled in the use of violence–in all its forms. Suffice to say, the left would salivate at the prospect of laying waste to entire towns and communities that defied them.

One final note: this is not meant to be defeatist or overly pessimistic, but rather a sober assessment of reality. It is a clarion call to what actually is, versus rationalizations and avoidance.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. Ephesians 6:12

  5. The polls showing Harris anywhere near Trump are as fake as she is. She was all for Biden’s open border, inflationary spending, cozying up to Iran, and the Bagram bugout before she barely hinted she was against it. Democrats don’t need to pour who and what they are into the empty vessel that is Kamala Harris. Her emptiness and vacuity represent it perfectly.

You can smell the Democrats’ panic. They can playact that it’s about Trump. But the sane part of the electorate knows it’s about them. They believe the former president when he says, “They’re after you; I’m just in the way.”

So, yes, will Trump be “allowed to take office?” The follow-up question is, Are Democrats prepared to risk what follows if they try to do something to stop that from happening? They might not know it and wouldn’t understand if it was patiently explained to them, but Trump’s head turn on July 13 saved the Republic.
