Tim Walz’s Nebraska Relatives Endorse Trump in Viral Group Photo; Walz Brother in Florida ‘100% Opposed to His Ideology’

Minnesota governor and Democrat nominee for vice president Tim Walz has cast himself as “America’s dad,” but it appears many members of his own family want nothing to do with him.

Former President Donald Trump received an unexpected endorsement Wednesday morning from Tim Walz’s relatives in Nebraska, and Walz’s brother in Florida recently said on Facebook that he is “100% opposed to all his ideology.”

Wednesday morning, a photo circulated on social media showing eight members of the Nebraska branch of the Walz family sporting matching “Walz’s for Trump” tee-shirts. Trump posted the photo on his social media platform Truth social.

Former Nebraska Republican gubernatorial candidate Charles W. Herbster first posted the image to X on Wednesday. His representative told the Daily Mail that a friend of the family shared the photo with them.

Those pictured are reportedly members of the Minnesota governor’s family through his grandfather’s brother. The Daily Mail reported that the Herbster contact was able to confirm the individuals’ identities and relation to Gov. Walz.

The viral photo prompted commentary from several major conservative accounts, including the Babylon Bee:

“Now, do we think this will get the same coverage Mary Trump or Kerry Kennedy has received?” asked independent journalist Megyn Kelly on X.

Kelly was referring to psychologist Mary L. Trump, the former president’s niece, who has a history of railing against her Republican uncle.

In her latest book, “Who Could Ever Love You” she wrote about her unhappy childhood as a granddaughter of the New York property magnate Fred Trump Sr and how Uncle Trump’s victory in 2016 drove her to despair.

Mary Trump even secretly recorded the former president’s late sister Maryanne Trump Barry, a former federal judge, badmouthing her brother, although she publicly supported him.

Like Walz’s relatives, several members of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s family have also made a point of publicly supporting his political opponents. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, Courtney Kennedy, Chris Kennedy, Rory Kennedy, and Kerry Kennedy said in a statement last month: “Our brother Bobby’s decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear.”

The corporate media covered these Trump family and Kennedy family clashes extensively.

Another X account on Wednesday gloated that the media’s attempt to portray Tim Walz as a beloved family man is blowing up in their face.

“Its funny how the Dems tried to portray Tim Walz as a cool Midwestern family man and how that backfired with his family from Nebraska coming out to publicly support Trump and literally his own brother is voting Trump,” said “Defiant L’s” on X.

In a series of Facebook posts last week, Walz’s older brother Jeff Walz, 67, came out in support of Trump, saying his brother is not the “type of character” who should make decisions about America’s future.

“I’m 100% opposed to all his ideology,” Walz wrote.

“If the mainstream media has no problem amplifying the voices of Mary Trump and the family of RFK Jr. who speak out against Republicans, then the American people deserve to hear more from Tim Walz’s brother,” Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) told The New York Post.

Jeff Walz told News Nation in an interview Tuesday however that he does not wish to influence the election despite his total opposition to the brother’s views.
