The Policies Are The Political Violence

The problem with the canned calls from media hacks like Lester Holt for cooler heads to prevail in the wake of the failed Trump assassination attempt is not the discouragement of retributive political violence. That is proper where it is genuine.

The problem is the many high-profile pols like the current POTUS and their festooned coteries of pundits and propagandists who spent years rationalizing, condoning or even promoting political violence against those they now patronizingly call on to be calm. Their false pieties fan the flames.

General Secretary Joe’s denials of his forays into the incendiary and victim-blaming fan the flames higher still.

However, decrying Biden’s “bullseye” comment and other such bellicose rhetoric is playing right into the “both sides do it” moral confusion General Secretary Joe and his press corps seek to sow.

Belligerent political language directed at pols or even their supporters, which has been a feature of American politics from the country’s inception, that otherwise stops short of a specific threat may often be coarse but it is also Constitutionally-protected. Call it out wherever appropriate but don’t facilitate the censorious Left’s penchant to turn speech they don’t like into crimes by falsely asserting uncouth political remarks are the proximate cause of political violence.

Furthermore, if there is a discussion of political violence to be had it is about the violence inflicted on Americans by the New Bolsheviks’ policies not their pronouncements.

Where politics truly is the proximate cause of violence is where:

The police are defunded.

Cash bail is prohibited.

Retail theft is not prosecuted.

Repeat offenders are released onto the streets while law-abiding citizens like Daniel Penny are prosecuted for protecting the public against the those repeat offenders.

Amphibious assault vehicles are used to raid the home take custody of a 70-year-old political consultant for an alleged non-violent offense.

A Seal Team Six-esque raid is used on family in rural PA to arrest of pro-life dad who protected his son and who offered to turn himself in.

Non-violent Trump supporters under indicted and imprisoned on cooked-up, unconstitutional charges of obstructing an official proceeding.

The FBI’s Richmond Field Office gameplan surveillance of Catholics who attend the Latin mass.

The U.S. Army labels pro-lifers and pro-life organizations as domestic terrorists.

In short, political violence occurs wherever you make a difference of opinion over a political or policy issue the basis to deprive an American citizen of their life, liberty or property. That is political violence. And there has been plenty of that violence committed by the Biden administration the last four years and the forever government Trump inherited previously.

Forget the ad hominem. Remember sic semper tyrannis. Depose the tyrants.
