For Timely Facts On the Attempt On Trump’s Life, ‘X’ Marked the Spot

The growing distance between big media and the American people is getting too large to ignore. When a high profile story breaks, there’s often a race to be the first to break the story and get the “scoop.”

This past weekend, Elon Musk’s “X” platform (formerly Twitter) earned its bones as a reliable resource for information seekers.

But the mainstream media not only took its time to report the event, it tried to minimize the attempted assassination of a presidential candidate.

The events of this past weekend showed in real time that when time and accuracy count, the legacy media comes up short.

While legacy news outlets dragged their feet, waiting for “official” word via approved press releases, Elon Musk’s social media platform was flowing like a swollen stream with videos and information from people with first hand knowledge.

That doesn’t mean that some things weren’t reported wrong initially. However, as Congressman Thomas Massie noted in a tweet, the largely unrestricted free speech of “X” made it easier to sift out and correct misinformation.

It’s possible that the legacy media needed time to reconcile the events in Butler, Pennsylvania with the vicious anti-Trump narrative it has been pushing for the past 9 years.

It’s hard to take MSM outlets and commentators seriously when their hysterical pronouncements about the alleged danger posed by Trump are there for anyone to examine.

If they would try to mislead us in matters as serious as an attempted assassination, what else might they lie about?

Whether legacy media outlets ever regain their sense of shame and apologize for their deceptions or not, it’s now clear that the American public has a clear choice when it comes to being better informed.
