Washington State Used $340M in Federal Coronavirus Aid to Fund Illegal Aliens

A new report suggests that the state of Washington used hundreds of millions in federal Coronavirus relief funds to give financial handouts to illegal aliens.

As Breitbart reports, the claim was made by the Economic Policy Innovation Center (EPIC), which determined that some $340 million in federal funds allocated to the state as aid in response to the Chinese Coronavirus pandemic was instead used to give $1,000 checks to illegals.

In the report, titled “Bidenomics Slush Fund Subsidizes ‘Undocumented’ Immigration,” EPIC reveals that “the Biden Administration approved $340 million in SLFRF money for cash payments to “undocumented” immigrants in Washington State.”

“The $340 million project is categorized as a “cash transfer” expenditure under the SLFRF, approved for the State of Washington,” the report continues. “This means the Biden Administration directly subsidized “undocumented” immigration under the guise of COVID-19 pandemic relief.”

EPIC also noted that the program is no longer accepting applications, suggesting that whatever funding was behind the program has since been completely used up.

Washington State’s COVID-19 Immigrant Relief Fund Impact Evaluation Report confirmed the use of the federal funds for illegals, declaring that “in April 2021, the Washington State Legislature approved an additional $340 million for another round of funding for undocumented Washingtonians.” A year earlier, in May of 2020, Washington State University (WSU) was also attempting to allocate “emergency” funds for illegals who were attending the university.
