Cortes: Biden has ‘Effectively Vaporized’ the Arizona Border

American Greatness contributor Steve Cortes said the Arizona border has been “effectively vaporized” by the Biden Administration, citing reports of 19,400 illegal migrant apprehensions in the Tucson Sector during the past week alone.

Cortes told the Grand Canyon Times:

Biden’s border disaster sets all the wrong kinds of records, as Arizona’s border gets effectively vaporized. Americans in Arizona and across our homeland suffer the consequences of a lawless border, including unjust and unlawful competition in the job market against citizens.

Biden’s open border between Mexico and Arizona threatens America’s prosperity, street safety, and national security.

Cortes was a spokesman and advisor to President Donald Trump’s 2016 and 2020 campaigns. He previously traded global currencies and interest rates for 25 years for large international hedge funds. He has been an on-air broadcaster for CNBC, Fox News, and CNN. Cortes founded LAW in 2022 with the mission of promoting “policies to protect the priorities of laborers.”

As American Greatness reported yesterday, John R. Modlin, Chief Patrol Agent of the U.S. Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector, reported yesterday on the almost 20,000 apprehensions, as well as a number of additional criminal and emergency events:

News Nation’s Ali Bradley, who has been reporting from the Arizona border for the past several weeks, reported that December has seen more than 200,000 illegal border crossings in December, following more than 242,000 illegal crossings in November:

Bradley and Fox News’ Bill Melugin also posted on Friday that ten Chinese nationals were apprehended at the border — highlighting that it’s not just Mexicans crossing illegally:
