    Not sure about the happy part, but the neo-Marxists running the country weren’t kidding about the own nothing part. They intend to make home ownership a privilege only the very rich can afford and then herd the rest of the country into cramped apartments in high density cities.

    Of course none of this has anything whatsoever to do with immigration rates, foreign buyers, or the strangulation of wages paid to citizens who can actually find and hold onto a job long enough to buy the house before some C-Suite Thug replaces him with the Visa Alphabet Employee du jour. Why don’t pieces like this ever recognize the obvious? Demand is driven by buyers inside and outside our country, and American traitors like Trey Harris (Republican donor and creator of Colony Ridge, an “exclusive development” where one is only allowed to “buy in” if one happens to be an illegal invader)? Trey Harris should be made an example of by Texas AG Ken Paxton, and I prefer the method to be the same used against the French aristocracy.

    I find Charles Hugh Smith’s “Of Two Minds” blog extremely informative on facing the reality of the Age. This is the era of downward mobility and, as he phrases it, “Life on the Margins”. Survival skills and self-reliance will be at a premium in no time at all.
