CNN’s Jake Tapper Admits Biden has “Been Letting” Family Members Profit Off of Him

On Wednesday, CNN host Jake Tapper admitted that evidence increasingly points to the likelihood that Joe Biden had “been letting” his family members profit off of their connection to him while he was vice president.

Breitbart reports that Tapper made his remarks during an interview with Congressman Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) on his show “The Lead.” Moskowitz attempted to dismiss the numerous examples that have since come out indicating that Biden was directly involved with his son Hunter’s business deals, saying that “we know that he was on the phone one time or he had dinner one time and what Republicans have done is say, see, there’s the evidence, he was in the room, he was at dinner, he was on the phone, he spoke to his son. But there has been no evidence at all, zero.”

In response, Tapper then said “let me posit that, for the sake of argument, that you are correct in what you’re saying. Does Joe Biden not bear any responsibility for the fact that his brothers and his son have been making millions of dollars, profiting off their relationship to him, being lobbyists and advisers and this and that because of him?”

“Is that not…I understand people in this town do that and their relatives do it, but he’s been letting them do it,” Tapper continued.

Moskowitz responded by conceding that Biden should be prosecuted if he did something unlawful, blaming such actions on “the culture in Washington, the revolving door in Congress, the revolving door in the Pentagon, [and] being able to make money off family members.” He then attempted to shift the focus to accusations against members of the Trump family, claiming that Republicans “don’t want to ask any questions about Jared Kushner getting $2 billion from the Saudis.”

The allegations against Biden have ultimately led to Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) signing off on a formal impeachment inquiry against Biden, after months of demands from the conservative wing of the party for such an action.

Numerous pieces of evidence have since been unearthed proving that Biden was far more involved in his son’s business affairs than previously believed, from an FBI informant alleging that both Joe and Hunter each received bribes of $5 million from Ukrainian oligarchs, to sworn testimony from Hunter’s former business partner Devon Archer claiming that Joe was present on at least 20 phone calls between Hunter and his foreign business partners.
