A Republican member of the House Oversight Committee made a chilling claim regarding an FBI informant who claims to have damning information on Joe Biden and his family’s involvement in a bribery scheme while he was Vice President.
As reported by Fox News, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) tweeted, after leaving a “meeting for House Oversight,” that “the [FBI] is afraid their informant will be killed if unmasked, based on the info he has brought forward about the Biden family.”
The informant in question first approached Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.), chairman of the Oversight Committee, last month with his claims that then-Vice President Joe Biden was involved in a bribery scheme to directly change U.S. foreign policy in exchange for $5 million from an unidentified foreign country. His claims were documented in an FD-1023 form, which was filed on June 30th, 2020.
The source has since been described as a “highly credible” FBI source who has been used in numerous FBI investigations dating back to the Obama Administration, as well as a “pre-existing” source who has been involved in separate matters unrelated to Biden.
Congressman Comer had subpoenaed the FBI for access to the FD-1023 last month, but the bureau repeatedly refused to cooperate and would not hand over the document, citing security reasons and the privacy of sources. Only when Comer threatened to move forward with a “contempt of Congress” charge for FBI Director Christopher Wray did the bureau finally relent, with Wray allowing members of Congress to be briefed on the document by the FBI, without actually handing it over to the committee’s custody. On Monday, Comer said he would proceed with the contempt vote anyway, starting on Thursday.
“We are going to be bringing the FBI Director in before Congress for contempt of Congress proceedings as he is still conniving to shelter the Biden administration from its own sickening corruption,” Congresswoman Luna confirmed in an interview.
