Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker Photobombs Biden With ‘Based’ Pro-Life Tie and Pin

Kansas City Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker made a quiet but profound statement Monday when the Super Bowl champions made their first visit to the White House.

Joe Biden hosted the Chiefs outside of the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl win. While Biden spoke, the devout Catholic kicker stood behind him with the other Chiefs, smiling and nodding along— while donning a pro-life message on his tie.

The nominally Catholic Biden has been a powerful advocate for laws that allow women to undergo abortion procedures at any stage of pregnancy for any reason. The Biden Justice Department has aggressively targeted pro-lifers who pray outside of abortion clinics, and a leaked FBI memo targeted traditional Catholics as potential violent extremists.

Butker’s  message in Latin read “Vulnerari Praesidio” which translates to “For the protection of the vulnerable.” The 27-year-old paired the tie with an iconic pro-life baby’s feet pin on his lapel.

In a tweet Tuesday morning, the pro-life group Live Action took credit for designing the tie.

“His Live Action-designed tie reads ‘PROTECT THE VULNERABLE’ in Latin & is paired with a gold pin created with the reference photo and the exact size of a 10-week-old aborted baby’s feet,” the tweet stated.

Catholic student activist Danny De Urbina strongly approved of Butker’s “based” message.

“Two-time Catholic Super Bowl champ @buttkicker7 savagely photo-bombed Joe with a BASED pro-life message stitched right into his custom tie,” De Urbina tweeted.

During an interview with the Catholic News Channel EWTN in 2019, Butker opened up about how his Catholic faith changed his life, and why he loves the Latin Mass.
